The last rose of summer. The first is full of promise of all that is…
Eye Candy Friday
See? I told you the leaves were starting to turn already. Although, thanks to Maryse and NPR at least I know I’m not old.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer so I’ll be making the most of this long Labor Day weekend. Hope you do, too.

I say bring on Fall! My favorite season. Have a great weekend!
Are you sure summer is ending? It’s just heating up over here, and I’m starting to think it’s never going to end.
Happy Long Weekend, Carole!
I saw the first bunch of orange leaves in the middle of ‘my’ mountain yesterday. Have a great weekend, friend!
Gorgeous photo. I noticed the leaves changing on my drive to Jersey a few weeks ago. I hate that the days are getting shorter. Hope you have a great weekend.
Beautiful. Hang on to those last minutes of summer.
I smell apple pie in the air!! How beautiful.
Happy Labor Day to you!! I can’t wait for Autumn to get here!
Have a wonderful weekend Carole!
I’m not ready… Have a great weekend!!
While I am happy to see the leaves starting to turn since that means winter will soon be here. I am also happy to see that it means maybe the heat of the summer is on its way out.
The leaves are beautiful! Have a good weekend.
I’m totally ready to say goodbye to summer. Bye-bye summer! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
Give me Fall. Crisp mornings with cobalt blue skies; brilliant foliage; handknit socks; hot spiced apple cider. Blankets on the bed at night. That’s what I long for. 🙂
The golden light of late summer, perfectly captured. (Now if someone could bottle it…)
The tree looks lovely! I believed you all along 😉 Have a great long weekend!
Yay! Fall! :o)
If the winters were shorter and sunlight in greater supply, perhaps I’d welcome fall with a little more enthusiasm. Wonderful photo.
Great picture!
what beautiful colours.
i wish it was cooling off here in the tropics 😉
have a wonderful weekend!
My theory on the leaves? We’ve had a slight shift of seasons. It seems to me that each season now starts earlier than it used to. I came to that conclusion a few years ago, from watching weather so I could plan bunny chores.
Enjoy your weekend Carole.
bye bye summer, hello my fav time of year.
Very pretty! On my trip up to Maine, I was amazed at how many trees are turning, but then Ken reminded me that at least up here, it is normal. Every year I say how early it is for the leaves to turn and every year he reminds me that it really isn’t….hahaha!
Beautiful leaves. Turning already? Wow! Enjoy the weekend!
We’re blowing her theory to bits here in Vancouver – our leaves are turning, but we’ve been soaked this summer. What summer? I don’t like this fall feeling already.

I’ve noticed the leaves are changing early this year in Germany, too.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope your weather still feels like summer and not autumn!
I’m a little jealous, Carole. = ) You know I love fall, it’s my favorite season, in New England anyways. I will miss it for sure. Will I miss snow and ice in winter? No. But fall ,ah…that is another story…
