This gorgeous yellow dahlia is called La Luna. It's what is called a dinnerplate variety…
Eye Candy Friday
Despite my wishes for a summer that would last forever it would appear that autumn has indeed arrived. Leaves this beautiful definitely help make it more bearable.
Have a great weekend!

Don’t fight the fall! It’s such a wonderful season. 🙂
I’m still in denial about the seasons, but those are pretty. If they could wait till November….
Although these leaves have clearly arrived, our harbinger tree only has color on the fringes. So it isn’t quite fall yet! I’m with Norma though … it IS a wonderful season.
Have a great weekend!
I love maple trees! That is a gorgeous photo for this rainy day.
Pretty- you already know how I feel about fall. Somewhat like you.
We’re heading up to see this weekend to see what color the mountains hold!
Have the leaves turned that much in your area?? They are lovely but I think I’d rather have another month of summer…
Have a great weekend.
i have leaf envy.
I love autumn. Especially the beginning of autumn where it is still warm during the day but it cools off at night and you can sleep with the windows open.
Pretty! Have a wonderful weekend!
I love your eyecandy Fridays. This is such a lovely photo. Its a nice way to start my day.
So pretty!
Beautiful! I love fall.
They haven’t really stared changing here yet but the weather has – it’s chilly. I love the fall leaves.
I love fall, but hate that it brings the thoughts of winter.
I love the fall! Although I’m not such a fan of the rain we have today.
Pretty! Have a great weekend!
I do love a New England fall. There’s really nothing like it.
Autumn is my favorite. I love the colors, the crispness to the air, and the gentle shift of the seasons. Your photo is excellent, as always!
Just found you via Meezermeowmy. Wow! And the photography! I do miss New England winters, here in California.
How pretty! It’s coming soon here, but we don’t have the color yet. But it’s chill and rainy.
Have a great weekend, yourself!
(((hugs)))
I was going to say it seems awfully early for that. Then I remembered I’ve been living in NJ too long. 🙁
thank you for the maple leaves – i really miss their touch of red in fall. ironically enough, today i saw the first tiny flurries drifting down. only a few, but it’s definitely a sign 🙁
Another stunning photograph. I’m with Norma – it’s a lovely season, and hopefully it will be long-lasting this year, as well!
Silly me, I rather like fall. Lovely leaves … luckily, we’re behind you in fall too!
Like you, I want summer to linger, but only because I don’t want to go back to work! Having spent most of my life in southern California, I love the fall color I experience in Idaho.
Our leaves aren’t quite there yet, but I think we’re not far behind!
What a great photo!
ahh autumn in New England – be still my heart…
and if I’m not mistaken, the macoun apples should be ripe soon… dang – I wish I could them out here.
Even I have to admit the colors of Fall are beautiful; the problem is that we know what follows. Brrrrrr.
I had to drive to Augusta (2 hours north) on Friday and the colors on the side of the highway did make it a much nicer drive!
