Sick, Now With Knitting

Happy Knitting resized for blog

As you can surmise from the title, I am still feeling poorly, but at least I am feeling strong enough to knit. Hooray! Last week the Mondo Cable Pulli was boring. This week it is the perfect project for a convalescent knitter. Lots and lots of stockinette in the round is about the only thing I can handle at this point and this sweater will see the benefit of that.

I’m feeling a bit of cabin fever at this point. I suppose that’s a good thing and maybe I’ll be ready to get out of the house in a day or so.

I’ll keep you posted.

  1. 🙂 It is a little boring, isn’t it? Are you doing the A-line increases? I have heard different opinions about them.

  2. Blargh. Blargh, I tell you! That is the sound of a sick knitter’s soul. I hope you feel better soon, keep resting up and hopefully you’ll be back to your usual self soon.

  3. Hope you are back to normal soon! In the meantime, knit as much as you can and relax. It’s cold and snowy outside anyway!

  4. I’m glad you’re at least feeling well enough to knit–that’s definitely something! Feel better, Carole.

  5. Glad you have a capable daughter and hubby to take care of you. Hope you’re on the mend soon.

  6. It’s a good thing to be able to knit! I hope you will feel totally better in the next day or so.

  7. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Knitting simple things always the best in these times. Hope your recover quickly from here on out!

  8. Glad you’re feeling better Carole! Hillary’s lemon chicken popped up on your blog today – I’ve been thinking about making that lately – I guess I got the go ahead!

  9. I can give you some coaster patterns if you like! They are excellent convalescent knitting, and you knock them off quickly so you feel like you accomplished something even though you feel like crap.

  10. Can’t wait to see the sweater. I hope to start one in March. I hope you keep feeling better and better.

  11. Don’t rush recovery, Carole. Whatever bug is out there this year, it seems to linger. Glad you’re feeling well enough to make headway on the sweater.
