The last rose of summer. The first is full of promise of all that is…
Eye Candy Friday
The squill is in bloom and it’s making a vibrant carpet of blue between my yard and my father-in-law’s yard. I love looking over and seeing it, especially when the afternoon sunlight hits it and it positively glows.
And now I must say: Adiós mis amigos! Hasta luego!

Such a pretty blue carpet! Have a great time on vacation, toss back a few Mexican cocktails for me, my friend 😉
Lovely blooms. So springy! Have a FABULOUS time south of the border! Drink a margarita (or two!) for me, will ya? (And. . . seriously. Pack some Imodium.)

I have these same pretty blue things blooming on my patio in California! Have a great vacation in Mexico. I will miss you and want to hear all about it when you get home. Even though we are so close here, I have never been!

Have a wonderful time! Can’t wait to read all about it!
Happy and safe travels!
Have a wonderful vacation, Carole!
I adore squills. They are one of the very few true blue flowers, bachelor buttons and delphiniums being the only other two that grow in my hardiness zone.
After the crappy weather today, I bet you can’t wait to soak up some warm sunshine! Enjoy!
Hope you’re having a wonderful time – looking forward to seeing the photos and reading all about it next week!
I am relieved to know you are on your trip and not near the Boston Marathon today. I hope all of your friends and loved ones are OK.
