Eye Candy Friday

So it turns out my last day off for Christmas break is now a snow day instead of a vacation day. I’ll take it! We’re in the midst of a blizzard here in Southeastern Massachusetts. If you’re looking at a weather map and there’s a big blob that says “15+ inches” . . . well . . . that’s  us. It’s all good, though, because we are home and cozy and safe and plan on making the most of the day with knitting and cooking and games and reading . . . all the best parts of winter nesting.

For Eye Candy Friday, here’s a bit of candy cane love for you. Regular blog posting will resume next week, I promise. In the meantime, Happy Weekend!

  1. Lucky! We need snow more than you can know. It’s been hazy (the “dreaded”), with filtered sun. We’re so envious of your snow day and the 15″ of white stuff. Have a fun day!

  2. I know (believe me, I know!) how much work it is to deal with a significant snowfall, but I love all the activity — everyone’s busy with shovels and snowblowers and people are outside!

  3. Great photo – I really love it! We left one window candle burning to tell us if the power went out, and we slept poorly. We were dreading the trek to the barn to start up the generator, but so far we still have electricity.

  4. We got a bit of snow last night and some high winds. But not anywhere near what you all got where you are! Stay safe, cozy and enjoy!

  5. Cute picture! That’s great that they let you switch it to a snow day. If we have PTO scheduled and a snow day is called, we still have to use our PTO unless we cancel it the day before. If we are on vacation, we are out of luck.

I had a snow day today and made some Peanut Butter Blossoms and then settled into knit the afternoon away.

    Have a nice weekend.
