It's the much anticipated day where Bonny, Kym and I tell you what we'll be…
Read This
As I believe I have mentioned, I’ve been reading a lot lately. In fact, I’ve already finished 13 books this year. The most recent one was Rachael Herron’s Pack Up The Moon.
Now, Rachael is a fellow knit blogger and I’m sure many of you know her and read her blog. I had the privilege of meeting her at Rhinebeck a few years ago and . . . wait, I’m going to go look this up . . . Â okay, it was 7 years ago. SEVEN years. And I’m linking to the post and the photo of Rachael and I but I almost didn’t because, ummmm, yeah, I was big.
Anyway.
I have read all of Rachael’s books but this one is by far my most favorite. It’s heartbreaking and moving and I fell in love with all of the characters and it ended just the way I wanted it to. Go and read it.
And then come back and tell me if you liked it as much as I did.

I just started her book on Sunday. I’ve read several others and have really enjoyed them.
I have a signed copy of her first book…but I haven’t read it – thanks for prompting me to get back to it and to catch up on her other titles!
I just added it to my Goodreads queue. It does sound good! Thanks for the recommendation! I just started listening to The Inverntion of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd. So far it is drawing me in. Can’t wait to start my daily chores so I can get back to it 🙂
Will have to check it out! (My “to read” queue is out of control. . .)
It’s so great that Rachel’s dream of being a published author has come true!!
I’ve got a big list from the ToT and now I’m going to add this. Off to update Goodreads! Thans for the review Carole!
All that matters is the smile.
I’ll add it to my goodreads queue. Thanks for the review!
I loved that book too. I pre-ordered it & had it finished in a day or two. I always love Rachael’s characters. I feel like I know them. Pack Up the Moon showed some of the less than pretty sides to the characters, but I still fell in love with them – they were like real people.
An assignment–so many books, so little time! You’d think things would be different after retirement.
I have added it to my list – I haven’t been reading much lately but I know I will get back into the groove with summer coming. Thanks for the recommendation!
Loved it too 😉
I thought you looked beautiful in that pic from 2007. However, the fact that you like your current pictures better makes me happy for you.
Was just looking for a book to read. Thanks for the suggestion!! 🙂
You’re beautiful no matter what size you are!
Can’t wait to read it! I met Rachael at Rhinebeck that year, too! Fun looking at those photos again. 🙂
