I picked 80 dahlias yesterday after work and my house is full of mixed bouquets.…
Eye Candy Friday
Roses just aren’t my thing. I much prefer tulips or gerbera daisies or daffodils. But when my brother-in-law stops by on Sunday morning to bring me a rose that my husband brought home from a band job on Saturday night and then forgot to take out of the truck . . . well. it’s worthy of a photo. Especially when it’s as lovely as this one.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Pretty color. You’re lucky that it didn’t just nod and refuse to open. Perhaps the cool temps saved it? Great photo.
And that is an excellent brother-in-law! And Dale…we know he’s alright!
Roses are a special flower. Happy weekend!! It’s a sushi weekend here in SLC! xoxo
Two thoughtful men, I’d say that’s a worthy rose indeed.
Aw, so sweet!
Roses are very photogenic and they smell nice. Two thumbs up!
We may not agree about food combos, but we’re on the same page when it comes to flowers. Dale’s family, sounds like a whole lot of sweet! Have a great weekend with NO SNOW (unlike Colorado).
Stunning picture!! I feel the same about roses too. I love them outside, but I prefer other ones in my vase. Have a wonderful weekend!!
Very pretty! I’m not much for red roses, but I do like yellow, peach, pink, etc… Enjoy your weekend! We are supposed to have a halfway decent one.
I love roses — especially the ones that aren’t red! Yours is lovely — and quite special, too.
Pretty color! Have a great weekend, Carole!
