Thanks to a donation from one of my co-workers who downsized, we now have a big beautiful cactus at work. And apparently it’s Irish because it’s blooming just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!

Surprise St. Patrick’s Day blooms are wonderful, and I hope your weekend is, too!
This time of year, I’ll take beautiful blooms any way they come. St. Patrick’s cactus or not. We are supposed to see actual seasonal temperatures this weekend so that’s a good start.

Love it! I have two “Christmas” cacti. One blooms at Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day, the other blooms off and on all year. Neither of them blooms in late December. XO

What a gorgeous bloom! My Christmas cactus has been producing tons of buds lately but they die before ever opening. And sitting here looking at it as I type this, I realize the poor plant is in desperate need of a larger pot.
