I didn't mean to abandon the blog last week after Wednesday but I had a…
Extra! Extra!
That surprise I told you about yesterday? It’s ready. Or should I say, it’s published . . .
https://www.scarymommy.com/diet-culture-workplace/
That’s right, friends, I’ve been published! The piece I wrote a few months ago about the women’s workshop I went to has been published on the Scary Mommy page! I’d love for you all to go on over there and read it, click on it, share it on Facebook or twitter . . . whatever you can do to help it be read by lots of people would be so awesome.
Thank you for encouraging me to do this and thanks for being loyal readers. Does this make me a real writer now?

Pretty sure you were considered a real (good) writer before. Congratulations on putting yourself out there and being recognized in a positive way.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some reading to do.
Great article, Carole! You were already a writer, you just had not found your audience. I’m glad that you don’t feel very bad, but I am really sorry you have the flu. Bummer, with a capital B!!! Feel better soon.
Congratulations!
Brava! Well said (and I have shared the article on Twitter!!) XO
Well done Carole.
Congratulations! You have been a real writer for years now, but it must feel very rewarding to be published and recognized! The subject is one we need to talk about and push forward. Thank you for putting yourself out there and for bringing to light the importance of women communicating professionally.
Well done, Carole! It’s well written and on point. I’ll definitely be sharing it!
Congratulations! You are a real writer.
Excellent article and so spot on!
What a great article Carole – congratulations on getting published!! of course I already consider you a “real writer”. Interesting topic, too. I’ve had a few conversations about diet culture lately; these two podcast episodes really got me thinking about it (https://www.thelazygeniuscollective.com/lazy/foodrules and https://www.thelazygeniuscollective.com/lazy/noflaws).
I’m so proud of you! That is an article that needs to be shared — and I’m so glad you wrote it. XOXO
Congratulations, my friend.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. As a mother of a recovered anorexic, I am so tired of hearing women put women down. It is a)superficial, b) judge-y, and c) none of our business. I’m with you; let’s all do better (and can we put away the phrase “…for her age.”?!)
Excellent! Congratulations on being published although I think you have been a real writer for a good long time.
Congratulations on your publication! I’m with Jane — you’ve been a real writer for many years!
Congratulations, Carole!! That is/was a wonderful piece — I remember it well from when you first shared it here.
