Last Friday while at the conference I happened to look up at just the right…
Eye Candy Friday

Here’s how you know I’m always thinking about you: when I made a Target run yesterday (to get those bins for knitting projects that I talked about) I saw the flower display and took a photo to share today. See? Always on my mind.
It’s a long weekend as Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I encourage you to consider an act of service to others in honor of his legacy. I’ll be back on Tuesday and we will be announcing our Read With Us winter selection so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, have a great weekend.

That picture is a lovely reminder that it wont be winter forever. We’re supposed to have 3-4 days of subzero weather. I spent my time this week prepping us and family for that. My three day weekend is going to involve lazy, cozy activity.
Thanks Carole! We should all treat ourselves as the weather is going to be brutally cold early next week. Have a nice weekend!!
We are having a bit of a warm up here… temps in the upper 20’s!! Those flowers are exactly what I needed today! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers on a cold and snowy January day!
Your wonderful bouquet brightened my Friday.
Thanks, Carole. Have a fabulous long weekend!
Thank you for the bouquet!
My husband brought me a small one for my birthday on the fifth. With tender care, it’s still going!
I think of your Friday posts when I pass by, and the joy we get with a frequent display of beauty thanks to you kindness.
I’m finishing up an afghan I got last Monday through “Loose Ends” ( https://app.looseendsproject.org/ ). It’s a program that matches craft people with those who have a need…
“Become a Finisher
Handmade items are gestures of love. The time, expense, and skill that go into making them are impossible to quantify. When you wear something made special for you, it feels good — you were thoughtfully considered with each stitch. When a maker dies mid-project, this tangible, handmade expression of love could get lost, donated away, or thrown out.
Or, it can be finished as intended and given back to be cherished.”
My project is an afghan in progress that was intended for a special nurse who helped a family while a mother was dying. The grandmother who was knitting it passed away six months after her daughter, mid-project. The family would love to have it finished to gift to the nurse.
This program matches skills with needs.
Please feel free to look into this great program and highlight it here on your blog if you feel like it! You’ll reach many more people than I can!
Enjoy your weekend.
Those colors are so welcome — everything here is white and gray! I most definitely will not be watching the inauguration on Monday, but I will be doing something to benefit others and make the world a better place. Have a good weekend!
