Joining with Kat again this week for a knitting and reading update.

The Waffle Pullover is . . . the same. I feel like I knit and knit and knit and I don’t gain any length.

Meeting knitting lately has been focused on these socks. The pattern is called JoMo Socks and the yarn is from Must Stash Yarn in the color Campfire. As you can see, I only need to kitchener the toe on this one and then I’ll be ready to start the next one. I need to get this done before I have another meeting/zoom call so that I have a project to keep my hands busy while I sit and listen.

And speaking of listening, I am both listening and reading my current book. It’s The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai. It’s almost 700 pages and I feel like I’ve been reading it for ages, even with maximizing my time spent with it. I’m hoping to finish today.

I hope you’re reading and knitting is keeping you engaged and entertained.

  1. Your Waffle Pullover (and my Hitchhiker) may have entered The Twilight Zone of Knitting – where you knit and knit but your knitting doesn’t get any longer. I hope you break free of that time warp soon and can see some progress. The sock look great and I can just picture you wearing this pair in your new camper!

  2. I hear you on the slow growth of the Waffle Pullover… I am nodding to Bonny’s assessment of The Twilight Zone of Knitting… true that!! However, those socks are marvelous and thank you for sharing that pattern link! (P.S. I just got my levain set using your ratios… I will update you how that goes!)

  3. Those socks will be perfect camping socks!! You will need to show them off while sitting around your campfire. You and Kat both seem to be in the never ending part of the Waffle. Hope it moves along for you.
