Weekending, April 10th – 12th, 2026

It was another weekend that wooshed by, friends. I’m feeling accomplished and satisfied with our activities, though.

There was plenty of time for reading and I finished Yesteryear, a brand new and very buzzy book.

We sorted and moved a lot of stuff – dishes and cookware and towels and some food – into the new camper. This photo is a good reminder that things often look worse before they get better.

And I put down the new rug that we got. To quote a famous movie line, that rug really ties the room together.

When I’m in my studio, George is often asleep on the back of the chair next to my desk. When he’s in this post I call him Super George because his legs extended like that remind me of Superman flying.

I’m getting lots of bird activity at my window feeder and saw a cardinal there on Sunday for the first time.

Not pictured: our monthly Fireside Friday gathering with friends, drinks and snacks and good food, and the play we attended Saturday night that was a fundraiser for a local scholarship committee.

I’m ready to hit the ground running for one more week of work before vacation.

  1. You had a very busy and productive weekend! Yep, the dude would approve. Hope nobody pees on it – LOL. The new camper is obviously going to be wonderful.

  2. Squeee! The new camper!! (and I love your thoughts on things look bad before they get better! So true!) I am ready for the week… bring it on!

  3. Your camper might just have more room in the kitchen than either of my kids’ kitchens! I hope you’ve got it all outfitted and ready for its shakedown trip. It’s supposed to hit 90 here for a few days this week, so I hope you have milder but really really nice weather for your trip.
