And I’m happy to report that the Feather & Fan socks for my friend Anne are finished. I didn’t quite make my self imposed deadline of Labor Day, finishing on Wednesday the 9th, but I’m happy that they are done.
No one loves Halloween like Anne and I hope these socks will give her an extra reason to enjoy the season.
I am currently reading Partita, the new Barbara Kingsolver book that will be published on October 6th and I am loving it.
I am listening to Woodrow on the Bench by Jenna Blum. It’s very good, and anticipate some tears will be coming, which you will understand if you have ever loved a dog.

Hooray for finished socks! I’d say two days past Labor Day is close enough, and I’m sure the recipient will love them. You’ll have to let us know about how much Woodrow makes you cry. You know I’m a dog lover, but I’m not sure if I can take a dog book that’s too sad now that I’m a dog owner.
