And all the stupid asters. Not one knows. heh I love poetry. I love the cultural expansion and exposure that we get through blogging and reading other comments.
I never knew what an aster looked like – sounds like it’s one of those easy-to-grow and doesn’t-want-to-die kinda flowers that everyone should have! Thanks for the beautiful photo Carole.
I just read your 100 Things list & what a good read! Thanks for sharing. We have quite a few things in common (besides names) you having the fancy spelling – the leftie and Virgo thing ahhh. You made the right decision not to live in FL, it’s getting to be for the birds as it were. I know of a couple of knitting librarians with tatoos though!
Grace Said,
Your photos are so clear and beautiful. What kind of camera do you have? I’m shopping for a new one. : )
Deb Said,
What’s the difference between an aster and a purple cone flower? Regarless – that photo is sure purty!
margene Said,
Lovely. It’s so hard to face October.

Yeah, but think of all the beautiful Eye Candy Friday pics you’ll have of fall leaves!

Gorgeous. I’m so not ready for winter (and we kind of skip right over fall and go straight to winter).

Very pretty colors. Good bye, summer, and HELLO, AUTUMN!
Birdsong Said,
I do love asters, maybe because they are amongst the last hangers-on… fall is definitely in MY air. Have a great weekend.
Norma Said,
I love the asters, in all their weedy-looking mess. This time of year mine are smothered in Monarch butterflies, too. I just love ‘em….
Lucia Said,
OK, you too get my favorite dose of Teasdale:
In the spring I asked the daisies
If his words were true,
And the clever little daisies
Always knew.
Not the fields are brown and barren,
Bitter autumn blows,
And of all the stupid asters,
Not one knows.
Marcy, Not Blogless Said,
Goodbye, Summer. *snif*
hpny knits Said,

What a beautiful photo! I’m sad to see summer go as well, but with the amazing weather we’ve been having lately, it’s way easier to face fall!
