Today I have the privilege of being a stop on Amy Herzog’s Knit to Flatter Blog Tour and, since it’s a Tuesday, I’ve decided to use the Ten on Tuesday format to interview Amy about her book, her design process, and how we can all make sweaters that fit us well. So sit back, relax, and learn!
Those are awesome answers to all of my questions and I know I learned a lot about Amy and her design process. I think her attitude about loving our bodies and knitting sweaters that will look good on us is wonderful. Thank you so much, Amy, for asking me to be a part of your blog tour. I think the book is fantastic and the designs are inspired and flattering and I can’t wait to knit some for myself!
Now here’s the fun part for all of you – through the generosity of Amy and her publisher I have a copy of the book Knit to Flatter to give away. Everyone who leaves a comment on this blog post will be entered to win and, as an extra incentive, those of you who participate in Ten on Tuesday and provide a link to your post will receive an extra chance. It all ends Thursday at midnight so get goin’!

One can never have too many books…and one that’s useful as well as ornamental is even better!
BTW–great picture of you in Mexico!
I’ve been enjoying the book, and Amy’s Ravelry group too. I haven’t yet decided which sweater to make first… it’ll probably be a cardigan because I’ve entered that newest phase of life that includes hot flashes (like 2 weeks ago).
Which sweater do you want to make first?
Oh, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book!
Thanks for sharing the interview! Seems like a great reference book and pattern book.
Great concept ..& so well executed! Count me in!
Congratulations on a great 10 on Tuesday. Have just recently added Amy’s blog to my reading and this was fun reading your interview. Thanks.
Amy’s book looks fantastic! I’ve enrolled in her Craftsy course and I already feel like I’ve learned so much from her. She is terrific!
This looks to be such a helpful book. I am tall (so long through the body), chesty and rather broad shouldered – but not really heavy. If I knit my bust size, I end up with a boxy sweater; if I knit something with shaping, the decreases are in the wrong places. It should be easy to fix these things, but I have no idea where to begin. It sounds like Amy’s book would help me right out.
Thanks for the great interview and giveaway. I’ve been drooling over the library’s copy so I hope I win a copy of my own.
I’ve heard great things about Amy’s new book. I’d love to learn how to pick sweater patterns and modify sweater patterns so that they flatter me. Thanks for the chance to win!
What a fun interview! Happened across this book at Barnes and Noble just earlier today. Would love to get started knitting sweaters, and this book looks like the perfect inspiration!
Knitting a sweater that fits has been/is my main for this year.
This looks like a very good book to have.
I would love to have this book in my knitting library.
Great interview. I learn so much visiting your blog! I’m about to knit my first sweater so the timing is perfect – guess I should do some reading first!
Wonderful interview Carole! I don’t have much courage regarding modifications – this may be just the guide I’m looking for!
what a great interview! I’m really enjoying the book…and the blog tour. have learned a lot about Amy and about sweaters. thanks for another great stop!
I enjoyed reading the interview, and this looks like a great book!
Great interview! Would love to win this book. My figure has changed so much in the last couple years, I would love to figure out how to make clothes that flatter again.
I would LOVE to win this book! I’ve been following Amy’s blog for quite a while now – back to when she first put up the tutorials that became the basis of this book. Sadly, I have yet to knit my first sweater. I dread putting all that work into it, and then not having it fit or look good. I think Amy’s book would be a big help in making sure that doesn’t happen. She has great sweater patterns in the book, and your 10 on Tuesday peeps have links to so many great sweaters. I can’t wait to get started.
One way or another, winning or purchasing it myself, I will have this book. One of the things that has kept me from knitting a sweater are past experiences of knitting one and it not fitting or looking right on me. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I’m really hoping to win this book! Thanks for holding this giveaway. 🙂
One of my goals for 2013 is to knit my first sweater. I have been eying this book for a couple of months and I think it will be a fantastic resource. Thanks for the interview!
I am loving the blog tour. I have discovered a whole new slew of blogs to read!
I love the concept of this book. Maybe it will help prevent me from always making sweaters too big for fear they won’t fit.
i loved amy’s tutorials and am happy to see her book published! so cool you got to interview her, and interesting to read the Q & A.
What a great book! Can’t wait to get some tips for sweater knitting!
This book would be a great help in knitting my first sweater!
Looks like a great book — so helpful!
Thanks for the chance to win, I’ve been enjoying my library copy and would love to have my own.
It’s been awhile since I posted a comment. This brought me out.
Am I too late to participate? If not , please count me in , seems like a must have book for every knitter, especially one like me a beginner.
