Ten On Tuesday
This week’s Ten on Tuesday topic comes from Mary and it’s actually about . . .  knitting! Because, you know, it’s good if we occasionally talk about knitting. And so, today, I want you to tell me the 10 Patterns You Could Knit Again . . . and again and again. (All links are Rav links but you’re all on there at this point, right?)
- Carole’s Picot Edge Sock. I know I’ve knit this many, many times. It is my go-to sock pattern and I don’t have to think about it at all.
- The Ball Band Dishcloth. This is a necessity every now and again when the dishcloths get old and tired.
- Monkey Socks. Perfect for when I want to knit a sock that’s a bit more challenging.
- Feather and Fan Socks. See #3.
- Cedar Leaf Shawlette. I’ve knit 2 already and I’m sure I will knit it again. It works with lots of different yarns and it especially nice for handspun.
- Hitchhiker. Like the Cedar Leaf Shawlette, this one is versatile and easy and also looks great done up in handspun.
- Baby Surprise Jacket. It’s my go-to baby sweater. It’s clever and fast and can be made bigger or smaller very easily.
- Calorimetry. Fast and flattering and perfect for when you don’t want a hat but you don’t want something warm on your head.
- Everyday Cardigan. I actually need to make myself one of these in a smaller size. My original one is huge.
- Irish Hiking Scarf. I knit a few of these so long ago that they aren’t on Ravelry! It’s a great scarf pattern for a guy.

Lovely photo and lovely list! I’m definitely a repeat knitter, but will have to give Monkey Socks and BSJ a try.
At first, I didn’t think I’d be able to come up with 10 “repeat-knits” . . . but, by golly, it wasn’t so hard after all!
One thing I know I’ll never knit again . . . and that’s a Color Affection! 😉
I have made a bunch of Jared flood’s Noro Striped Scarves and Koolhaas Hats, and I have made two of Susan Lawrence’s Feather Duster shawls as well as two EZ BSJs and will probably be making more. As far as socks go, I try to never knit the same pattern twice. Sorry, but I can’t get the link function to easily register these patterns in this comment.
And I’m not knitting Leftie again or the first time. Nice list, Carole! Every item is something worthwhile and fun to do.
Great list. Looking forward to reading other lists and adding more favorites on ravelry. I guess I need to work on a list, too.
I fear my list might seem a little boring! At first I didn’t think I could come up with ten, but sure enough, I did. I love the hitchhiker, too, and have it on my list. This is going to be a nice way to check out some new patterns — thanks, Carole!

Yep – that really was easy! I forgot about the ball band dish cloth. That’s another good one.
Well, reknitting garments in smaller sizes is never a bad thing right? I think the only things I’ve made more than once are socks, mitts and (sadly) chemo caps.
My first reaction to this was Whaaaat! But, all of these designs are definitely repeatable! A knit I’ve done a lot is the Multi-directional scarf. My hubby loves his!
It was fun to revisit my project page to see what I’ve reknit most often. And it’s very fun to visit other participants to get some ideas!

I’m looking forward to digging into these lists and finding a ‘potato chip’ or two I have overlooked. Great topic! Can I say, “Multnomah” – 11 times. Great little prayer shawl as it doesn’t have to feel as big as “Oh, you shouldn’t have.”, but leaves them with something cozy.

Knitting a sweater again in a smaller size is probably one of the best reasons to do it again!!

Darn it, Carole–you’re always starting something. I looked at everyone’s ToT’s and found multiple patterns–like I need more to knit!
I also have a few “go to” patterns. It’s nice to have a few projects that your fingers just know what to do!

The Cedar leaf shawlette is pretty, and the Baby Surprise Jacket is beautiful! I’ve been wanting to join in on Tuesdays but just got the time to this week. I’m glad to be participating this time, hopefully I can continue to do so 🙂
Clapotis, Summer Flies shawl, Easy Pie Wedge Shawl, Willow Cowl, Crescent Moon Shawl (crocheted), baby fruit hats, Little Girl Shrug and of course my own Herringbone Rib Scarf.
