Think Write Thursday

The Think Write Thursday topic is to write about the contents of your purse. Are you a minimalist? Or do you carry around a knapsack? And say, what’s in there, anyway? Tell us what you’ve got in your purse and why!

That right there is the contents of my purse. Not a whole lot, right? I don’t like to carry around a giant bag and this fits well and is pretty much all I need.

Starting on the left, there’s a Kind bar. I don’t often have those but I had stuck it in there because of the conference this week. They kept us quite well fed and I never actually needed it.

My wallet. It’s got money (never enough) and the cards I don’t use often like my insurance card and my AAA card and a couple of rarely used credit cards.

My eye glasses case. Right now it has my sun glasses in there but I switch those out for my regular glasses when I’m driving.

Four Walker bags. I love these bags for keeping the contents of my purse organized. The little blue one holds my debit card, my Visa card, my driver’s license, and my LipSense business cards. The purple one under that holds tissues and gum and a little pad of paper. There are sometimes other things in there, too, but right now that’s it. The green on holds pens and the pink one holds lip gloss and a perfume roller ball and a hair elastic.

My car keys. They usually just stay right in there since my car has keyless entry.

And finally, my cell phone with  that awesome PopSocket on the back. If you use your phone for pictures a PopSocket is a must!

That’s it for me. How about you? What’s in your purse?

  1. I am a minimalist, especially since I often need the ‘critical’ items to fit in my jeans pockets when I volunteer. My doctor once marveled at my small purse (not THAT small) commenting that she had too much junk for one that small. I like a small purse because it keeps me from accumulating stuff!

  2. Not only minimalist, but organized, too! I love those Walker bags and might have to get some to organize my own purse. It would be nice to be able to find things in there!

  3. You are Organized! Those little Walker bags are ideal for purse management. 🙂 And that PopSocket? How did I never hear of that before??? (Just yesterday a friend pulled out this little mini-fan that can plug into your phone. People are so clever!) 🙂

  4. So organized!! I love those little Walker bags and I, too, had never heard of PopSocket! What’s up with that???

  5. I’m TRYING to be a minimalist, but it never works. You’re well organized and I’m going to take a few pointers from you.

  6. Love the contents. If you remember, what are the sizes of your little bags? That is a great idea that I haven’t thought of.

  7. Thank you for this topic today. I am always looking for good ways to lighten my load! Traveling for extended periods has helped, but I’m looking to reform my everyday bag habits.

  8. Very neat and organized! I carry very small.
I somehow ¯\_(?)_/¯ got PocketSocket out of PopSocket and those are cool too!

  9. Quite organized … just like I expected, and thank you for the Walker bag idea. That makes switching out handbags super easy!

  10. I have a small zipper bag for my lipsticks/gloss, and another little pouch for my ear buds. Other than that I sorta throw in my wallet, phone, building access card and key. Car key that also includes the remote opener for the mail gate to the apartments, the remote for the garage, a pack of gum, tissues, a measuring tape and paper clips [usually]. I have yarn money stashed in the zipper pocket along with some “personal” items. I try to keep my purse fairly cleared out so it’s easy to find things. However, it still manages to weight a TON sometimes.

  11. I already keep most of the small stuff in my tote bag/purse in zippered bags, but I really like the Walker ones. Since mine are all at least 20 years old, I don’t feel bad about tossing them for some new ones! And the popsocket! Mine!
