I have been doing a lot of knitting but still don't have anything finished to…
Things That Make Me Go Hmmm
There’s something I haven’t told you. I’m sick. I’ve been sick for two weeks, in fact. I thought it was just a cold that wouldn’t go away but it turns out I’ve got bronchitis and sinusitis. I’ve about had it with hanging out on the couch but now that the antibiotics have kicked in and I have some energy again, the knitting time rocks. So, in the interest of not taxing my brain by trying to write paragraphs, I present a list.
~Dancing With The Stars. What to say? I love Marie but I thought the doll routine Monday night was really lame and I think her attitude about it hurt her. Mel was great but I don’t think she quite captured the hearts of the viewers the way Helio did. All in all, I’m pleased with the finals. How about you?
~There are only 3 days left for this year’s Knit Unto Others. However, Gale is looking for some handknits for a Tree of Warmth project. She’d love your help if you’re still inspired to do some charity knitting.
~My Christmas shopping is shaping up. As usual, I’ve done a fair amount of this online. I avoid the stores whenever possible.
~I have lost the quilted tablecloth that goes on my kitchen table. I put it away when I brought out the fall quilted table runner and now I can’t find it. My house is not that big and yet I have no idea where this could be. I’m pissed.
~You’ve seen Pay It Forward by now, right? I chased it around the internets a bit but finally got in on the deal over at Michelle’s.
The rules: I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on this blog post requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet, and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
I hope there are 3 of you left that haven’t already signed up to do this!
That’s all I’ve got. Time for some more tea and knitting on the couch.

I hope you do get to feeling better! I wasn’t surprised that Helio won…My KUTO knitting is nearly complete and ready to go…I’m just getting warmed up on my Christmas shopping~~uh-oh…better get busy!
I hope you’re feeling better soon Carole!
Feel better Carole! I’ve already gotten in on Pay It Forward…
(((hugs)))
I’d enjoy trying the PIF challenge, Carole, if I might. My blog is very sparsely attended, and infrequently updated, but I can try paying it forward in some way (even if it ends up as a p-i-f in my larger community).
I’ve sat on the fence long enough – I’ll do the PIF challenge – I think I’m second here.
I hope you feel better soon – bronchitis is the pits.
I absolutely hate it when I miss place items. They are usually found in some totally obscure area that I know I did not put there myself 🙂
Feel better soon – hopefully your able to get a little enjoyment out of this down time.
Feel better soon lovely lady!
Feel better! (I just joined PIF myself.)
I hope you feel better.
Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well. Hope you’re up to snuff quickly! I’m with you on Marie and I’ve been a fan of hers since I was little watching Donny and Marie. It was weird and she didn’t even dance.
Hope you will better..
I am new here..
I was SO disappointed with the freestyle dances of Marie and Mel. Mel could have done SO much more. Until her Freestyle I had her totally pegged to win. But after the freestyle, I picked Helio. I wanted Mel to dazzle me, and instead I just thought it was flat. I loved Helio and Julianne’s Freestyle though. Some neat stuff.
Feel better! I had a similar bout with those two and the added joy of laryngitis for the trifecta. Make sure you get plenty of rest! I’ll be thinking healing thoughts for you.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been so sick, but glad that you’re feeling better.
I hope you continue to improve and get over your illness.
Hope you feel better soon! Wrap up in some cushy wool, it’s bound to help!
Now you are making me think I need to visit the doctors. I’ve had this head cold / throat thing hanging on for like a month. But I’m terrible at going to the doctor for something like that. Even if I feel like crap :)! Hope you are feeling better.
If you still need a third person for PIF, sign me up! And there is something on my blog for you today.
I hope you get better soon! That upper respiratory stuff is so miserable.
Sinus infections suck big time! I hope you feel better soon, grrlfriend!
As to misplacing things….I can’t help you there, I am the queen of misplaced things…:-)
I’ve lost track … are you still looking for the third person for PIF? If so, sign me up.
And feel better soon. I hate cold that drag on for weeks.
I feel a cold coming on and I’m trying to ward it off by shear willpower…probably won’t work. Hope you are better soon, now that you’re on antibiotics.
I’m enjoying KUO. It’s the boost I needed to get some things made for my favorite charities.
Poor you! Bronchitis sucks. I hope your doc gave you prescription cough suppressants! They rock. Get well soon!!!
So sorry you’re sick. Glad the antibiotics have kicked in. Feel better soon!
I hope you feel better soon, too, Carole. I’m so tired of being tired!
I had NO idea you were feeling poorly! May you feel in the pink soon!!
I haven’t watched DWtS until Monday and can’t say I was dazzled by any of it. That’s a show I’ll pass on.
Feel better, Carole! It sounds like you’re already on the mend, which is nice to hear.
Feel better! Although some quality couch time doesn’t sound so bad 🙂
GLad you are starting to feel better. I doubt there was much quality of the time on the couch for awhile…those bacterial buggers can get nasty.
I’m sorry you’re feeling poorly, I hope that you feel better soon!
I’m sorry you’re on the sickie list, sweetie. There seems to be a lot of us there right now. At least, you’re in good company, right? ;^)
Have you talked to Mason? I wonder if he’s seen it and/or might have idea what happened to it. He is home alone a lot, ya know. Just sayin’…
Poor Carole! My husband just went through this too. We actually had to pay a visit to the ER over Thanksgiving weekend, since we were 300 miles away from his doctor. That was all kinds of fun! But he’s vastly improved now, and I hope you will soon be, too. 🙂
Feel better soon Carole – it’s Rotten to be sick for so long! Be careful or it’ll turn into Pneu~! xoxox
Feel better, sweetie. Drinking some hot tea right now in your honor – hope it helps!
Hope you feel better. Just have a little bit left to finish on my KUTO mittens.
Oh, I was thrilled when Helio won! I’ve been behind Julianne and him from the beginning. I think she is an Awesome dancer…and she’s a baby!
Glad you are on the mend! Nothing worse than the lingering creeping crud!
Yikes! Feel better. Man, I hate losing stuff. But I love finding stuff.
If you have more than 3 people, send some of them over to me! I have only one so far.
here’s hoping that those antibiotics kick in fast.
Pay it forward is cool – Lynne passed it to me and I have yet to pass the baton on, but I will 🙂
Dance with the stars? hmmm – it almost mkaes me wish I had a tv (grin)
oh, damn, I feel your pain. I HATE those upper-respiratory “-itises.”
Would you believe I’ve never seen DWTS? I don’t watch live TV–just stuff on teh interwebs. But Marie has bugged me forever–since The Donny & Marie Show. Who’s she to upstage my first true love, hmm? Tart.
That reminds me–the pecan/cranberry bars look delish.
I hope you feel better soon! I haven’t watched Dancing with the Stars, but I’ve been a Helio fan for years, so I was so happy to hear that he won.
I’m with you on the online shopping. Malls give me hives. And palpitations. And make me short of breath. And that’s in the parking lot!
Feel better!
