8. lovely peony. i’m jealous. when mine were opening, the temperature hit almost 100. the flowers dried in mid-bloom, right on the plant.

    I’m reading a book (Too Good To Be True by Kristan Higgins) in which Civil War reenactment plays a big part and I thought of you and Dale.

11. Pretty! Mine are finally blooming – I had to cut the biggest ones last night before the monsoon hit us. :o( The smaller ones are still out there going strong, though!
