The last rose of summer. The first is full of promise of all that is…
Eye Candy Friday
A sweet buttercup, picked for me by Dale. I love it and it totally reminds me of when we were kids and we would hold a buttercup under our chin and say, “do I like butter?” Also, one of my favorite expressions that I say frequently to a good friend of mine, “suck it up, buttercup.” And, finally, a song:
Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin’
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don’t break my heart
You’re welcome for the earworm.
Have a great weekend, buttercup!

You take the best micros!! TGIF!!
I don’t think we have buttercups in this neck of the woods. Have a great weekend, buttercup!
Great tune! Beautiful shot too. Wishing you a wonderful weekend – man it looks like a winner. Red neck yacht club at 6:30 tonight if you find yourself in North Central MA. 😉
And let’s not forget Princess Buttercup! Happy June, Carole.
Got a new “bridge” camera today, something between my purse sized one and my DSLR. Wow – the macros it takes. Happened to get a buttercup photo, too.
