Eye Candy Friday

let there be light for carole knits

Words to remember every day, but especially on this day:

“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. ” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Find some light and love this weekend, my friends.

  1. I can not (should not and will not) maintain hate. That doesn’t mean acquiescence and acceptance, but rather choosing light and love instead. Thank you for the timely reminder.

  2. I cannot lie, I was hoping for a bit more about hygge after seeing the photo. But your words are bigger than I’m feeling at the moment so I shall try to remember them. Meanwhile, I’m taking a break from news and Twitter today. I’ll be a better person today, and they’ll be there tomorrow.

  3. Sending you and Dale love and light on this dark, dreary, and rainy day (it almost seems as if even the heavens find no joy today).

Here is to a peaceful Friday XO

  4. I will try Carole. It’s not going to be easy. But I’m surrounding myself with good music, good books and good people this weekend.

  5. It’s a tall order when feeling such raw emotion…and last night didn’t help. This is a time for a brave stance for what we know is right and good without falling into the darkness.

  6. The sun will come up tomorrow, and the next, and the next. Thank you for the reminder that it is up to us to choose how we face it.

  7. i chose to knit on a blankie for a needed child..I dont want to lose hope..Love is better than hate, i hate evil though…I pray daily for things to get better..For seniors not to lose their benefits they worked so hard and so long for…
