Weekending

Happy Monday morning, my friends! Yes, the weekend flew by (as always) but it was an extra special one with extra special time with friends.

There was the usual Friday night thing. Cheese and crackers for dinner and a great playlist for St. Patrick’s Day. You know the drill.

On Saturday afternoon we hit Shovel Town Brewery. Yes, we went last weekend for Jo-Ann’s birthday but when the opportunity presented itself to go again (as in, we had no other plans) we couldn’t resist. The Vanilla Cream Ale was great, I must say.

We ended the evening back at home, first with a corned beef and cabbage dinner and then with Mexican Train. Mason was anxious for his turn but without opposable thumbs he was definitely challenged.

Sunday morning we enjoyed the best part of St. Patrick’s Day – corned beef hash for breakfast. So good.

And then Sunday afternoon we headed into Boston to see Sean and Michael perform with the BGMC. What a fantastic show to attend! Dinner afterwards was terrific, with lots of discussion about the show and great pizza and fabulous company.

It all added up to a terrific weekend. I hope yours was equally as good!

  1. I love how you support your friends and have so much fun doing it.

Every feline knows, “Opposable thumbs rule!” Frankly, I think it is the only thing that keeps them from completely subjugating us.

  2. You always seem to fit more fun into your weekend than anyone I know! Thanks for sharing another great one with us.

  3. I love the look on Mason’s face as he looks at the dominoes. We are going to have to check out that Shovel Town Brewery.

  4. Love Mason with dominoes! He looks like he’s seriously planning his strategy and his next move!

  5. I want Mason on my team! and sure wish you and Dale lived closer to us – would be fun to get up off the sofa (and away from the golf and basketball!) for a change!!

  6. Too bad Mason couldn’t have a turn. Don’t you often wonder what goes on in their heads. Good food and company always makes for a great weekend.
