Tulips were on sale last week and I picked up this pretty bunch of pink…
Eye (PIE) Candy Friday 24/30
I had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and I hope you all did as well. That there is a photo of this year’s pies. I pretty much make the same 4-5 pies every year for this holiday and I was looking for some different ideas for to change things up a bit. After scouring Instagram and Pinterest, I colored some of the pie crust cut outs with edible food markers and I’m happy with the way they enhanced the pies.
Happy LONG weekend to all! And happy last weekend of NaBloPoMo!

I like the one with the uneven woven strips. Very modern looking. I read a funny but fairly accurate quote about changing Thanksgiving dinner. Basically, changes will upset the older folks & make the young ones cry. You managed change without taking away anyone’s favorite. Well done.
I didn’t know that food markers were a thing! (I might need to try some on Christmas cookies.) Your pies look beautifully delicious, as always!
I also didn’t know about food markers. Where did you get yours? Yes, Bonny, those would be great for Christmas cookies.
Your pies have me salivating! The edible food markers are really fun. As always, your post is inspiring.
Your pies look wonderful!!! They’re almost too charming to eat . . .
XO
I must admit, those pies are gorgeous! AND, I might be doing the dance of joy at the last weekend of NaBloPoMo as well! XO
Your pies are always the most gorgeous! (I’ll bet they taste the best, too!)
Carole, you make the most beautiful pies! I can make a good tasting pie, but they all look the same.
Fabulous pies, Carole!! I shone my phone around the room when your photo popped up on IG yesterday. They’re so lovely.
Some day, Carole, I’m going to actually taste one of your pies … they sure look delicious!
Oh boy, those look good!
