The last rose of summer. The first is full of promise of all that is…
Eye Candy Friday
I planted this butterfly bush last year and this year it is really starting to grow and I love it. Apparently it’s doing it’s just because I’ve seen a monarch butterfly visiting frequently over the last week. Hooray!
And you know what else? Hooray for the weekend!

Butterfly bushes actually DO attract butterflies of all sorts. There’s one outside the window by my knitting chair.
Lovely! Happy Weekend, Carole!!
I gasped when I saw this: lovely. I’ve noted a monarch too, in my yard…and I don’t have a butterfly bush!
Enjoy your weekend!
Cheers~
Beautiful!
Ours attracts lots of butterflies too, but I needed to cut it back. These bushes can get really big (too big for our small raised bed).
Total awesomeness! Happy Friday and weekend to you Carole. Enjoy!
Oh wow- yea here’s to the weekend!
Oh yes, the butterflies love this bush. And it if it is not a dwarf bush, it will get huge. Mine died for some strange reason, but I plan to get another. And they are lovely for a landscape planting. I hope you enjoy yours for many years. Great photo!
