That right there is a macro shot of the center of one of the sunflowers…
Macro Monday
Week four of taking macro shots using the tripod, this week featuring a lime slice left over from tailgating at Jimmy Buffett on Saturday. You can bet that when I finished taking these pictures I threw that piece of lime into a glass of tequila. Shooting these images each week has taught me some cool things about focus and composition and I’m also discovering new features my tripod has.
Like many things I’ve set out to do over the years, the summer of Macro Mondays has broadened my world in unexpected ways and I’m pretty happy about that.

Weirdly, I find this a very cool shot. Um, never mind that pun. Would not have thought about a macro of this, but it totally works.
That looks like a lovely, juicy lime I’d be happy to squeeze into a vodka and tonic!
A very cool and refreshing picture! How was the concert (silly question, I know…).
Great shot! Bravo for the tripod – and Margaritaville!
Mmmm. I love limes! Great shot, Carole. I’m sure you had a great time at that concert!
It’s so nice when things work out like that! 🙂
Great shot!
Is that a Fiestaware dish underneath that beautiful juicy lime? My aunt and uncle collect vintage Fiestaware (and also, coincidentally, are fans of Buffet).
You can really SEE the lime and what makes it juicy and colorful! It must have made your tequila tartly perfect!
