Eye Candy Friday
I think we’re in the final days of Amaryllis Watch 2021 for this beauty. In fact, I’m hoping it will bloom this weekend while I’m home to enjoy it. The variety is Velvet Nymph and White Flower Farm describes the blossoms as deep garnet petals with a tidy flower-within-a-flower form . It sounds completely gorgeous!
Also completely gorgeous? A long weekend. I’ll see you back in this space on Tuesday.

Bloom soon, Velvet Nymph! You inspired me to get my resting amaryllis bulbs out of my root cellar and water them for reblooming. I’m heartened by some glimpses of green already. Have a good long weekend, Carole!

I love the deep red you’re waiting on. I have a glorious naranja (brilliant orange) and one called Apple Blossom that is soft and pink and just lovely. They certain help me get through January!

Beautiful! Our amaryllis refused to bloom and has been banished to our garage. Maybe next year?
