Last night was the Annual Town Meeting for the town where I work and I…
Wednesdays Are For Knitting
I’ve made what I consider decent progress on the Wedding Sweater, thanks largely to the rainy holiday weekend we had. Credit also goes to Virgin River and Firefly Lane. Because what goes better with rain and knitting than binging a couple of shows you’ve been meaning to watch?
The kids were over on Monday for a cook out and when we were inside for a few minutes Jack was quite taken with my sheep tape measure. I showed him how it worked, he played with it for a minute, and then he randomly put it on top of the cone of Jagger Spun Zephyr. I asked him to pose for a photo and, good thing I’m quick, because this was all I got.
He’s such a little boy now, isn’t he? As cute as ever, of course, but I miss the baby/toddler look. And, while the sweater may look like a blob, that’s a nearly completed body. I only have a tiny bit left to finish the 2nd shoulder and neckline and then I’m off to sleeve island.
I think I can . . . I think I can . . . I think I can . . .

I think you can, too! I remember that time when my sons definitely lost their baby look and started to become little boys (then big boys and young men)! Still cute, but time does fly.
Yes, you can!
Yes, he is very much a little boy these days, but maybe the haircut contributes to that. He is cute, nevertheless! I know you can, I know you can. Seriously, I know you can. Even lying in a blob, this sweater is obviously going to be lovely!
Isn’t it fun to see our littles grow and change? Can’t wait to see that lovely sweater.
Congrats on all that sweater progress! And you read all those books, too. Our oldest GK is 16, and we’re still wondering how that happened! BTW, please send some of that rain our way; our state has just imposed a burn ban.
Jack does look little boy–how did that happen so fast? I can’t wait to see the final product for the sweater.
Go Carole Go! Hey Jackie!!!! <3
You totally can! The sleeves will go so much faster. And geez, Jack looks so grown up suddenly!
Oh, you DEFINITELY CAN! 🙂 And that little Jackie! Adorable, yes. But so, so grown up now. . .
XO
Holy cow when did he get so grown up?! He’ll be asking for the car keys before long . . .
Yes you can!
They just grow too darned fast, don’t they? But that face 🙂
I am sending you all the knitting mojo!!
Too fast… they all grow way too fast! Malina has a cute little bob now and I can’t believe what a difference a haircut can make, and how old she looks!
Beautiful pile of yarnie goodness. I know it will be a beautiful addition to her wedding ensemble!
