1. Just lovely! There is a person on our street in MD that had some beautiful purple zinnias but the goldfinches are pulling off the petals to get to the seeds.

6. Zinnias were my aunt’s favorite flower. She grew many types of flowers but she said she liked them the best. She often frequented church rummage sales (and other places) for cheap vases, which she would use when she gifted people flowers (zinnias in particular). She told me this way she didn’t feel bad if the vase never returned to her, it was part of the flower gift. She had some real smarts and I always think of her when I see Zinnias.
