This gorgeous yellow dahlia is called La Luna. It's what is called a dinnerplate variety…
Eye Candy Friday
I hope you don’t mind another daffodil bouquet, particularly since these are ones that I grew myself. A few years ago, Dale and I planted about 150 bulbs and that hard work is paying off in spades now. I picked this big bunch last Sunday and after I finished you couldn’t even tell that I harvested any. I call that a win.
I call any weekend a win, too, but when it’s a weekend that involves Passover and Easter and a Monday holiday (Thanks, Massachusetts), it’s big win. I’ll catch up with all of you here on Tuesday. Have fun and be safe, whatever you are doing until then.

I don’t mind at all — I particularly like the ones with the slightly orange center. I really think I need to plant a lot of bulbs this fall so I can enjoy color next spring.
Happy extra-long weekend!
As much as I dislike planting bulbs in the fall, the spring payoff is HUGE! Those are just lovely, Carole! Enjoy your extended weekend. XOXO
Planting bulbs is a big pain in the back, but it sure is rewarding in the spring! (Many of the bulbs I’ve planted have rewarded squirrels and deer)
So pretty! I love the subtle color differences. Have a wonderful long weekend!
Oh I do miss Patriot’s Day!
Wow! 150 bulbs is a whole lot! But it sure looks like you got great results. I love the pinkish one! Enjoy the long weekend.
