I picked 40 more dahlias yesterday and I suspect this is the last big bunch…
Eye Candy Friday
The garden is exploding right now! The butterfly bush and tall phlox are in bloom as of this week, the red geranium hanging plant is loaded with blossoms, and the Russian sage and coreopsis have gotten much bigger, and my buddha statue is watching over all of it. If only he’d pull some weeds, too.
Have a terrific weekend, friends.

So lovely, Carole! (If you manage to get your Garden Buddha to help out with the weeding, please pass your tips along to me. Because mine just sits there, too, peaceful and smiling, but not lending a hand. . . ) 🙂
Beautiful! Buddha lesson? Be zen about the weeds, or achieve a zen state while repeatedly pulling them. :- ) And you have all weekend to figure it out.
I have a feeling if your Buddha could talk, he’d probably tell you not to stress about the weeds. 😉 Enjoy all those blooms!
How lovely! I’d like to spend some time in your garden with you (and might even help pull a few weeds)!
Gorgeous, Carole! Our butterfly bushes have yet to bloom, but it is absolutely a banner year for blossoming plants! It makes my eyes happy to be outside right now! 🙂
So pretty! That is a very nice combo of plants.
I think the commenters above have the right idea. Buddha has a message for you, but like a Zen koan, you must contemplate the message. Your garden is gorgeous, Carole! I am in awe of it. We are having a terrible drought here, so not much is blooming unless I water the heck out of it. Have a Zen weekend with all your favorite things.
