Weekend Glimmers, October 4th-6th, 2024
I had a weekend full of glimmers. I did not, however, capture many of those glimmers in photographs.
Not pictured:
Using my new waffle maker for the first time and making really delicious waffles that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside
Going to Jackie’s soccer game and seeing him play goalie for the first time
Going to the “Dark Market” at a new venue in our town. It was a fall fair of sorts, with beer and food trucks and vendors but with a dark theme. Think tarot readings and funky jewelry and crafts and you’ll get the vibe.
Finishing Rosamunde Pilcher’s book September in my sunny bedroom on Friday afternoon. I’ve tried to keep our bedroom as a sanctuary from the chaos of the rest of the house and it’s a good place to retreat and read. I felt completely swept away to Scotland by this book and I loved it.
Okay, pictured:
Stuffed mushrooms. Or, what was left of the stuffed mushrooms when I remembered to take a photo.
Standing amidst the dahlia beds with my girls, Hannah and Jess.
Sunday morning breakfast.
The memories of the weekend and the relaxation of it all will (hopefully) sustain me through the work week.
