Wildcard Wednesday

Or perhaps I should call this post Looking for Blog Fodder.

I seem to have very little to say these days. Maybe it’s the firehose of horrible news that is leaving me speechless. Maybe it’s the hunkering down I’ve been doing to cope with all of that. Maybe the blog has run it’s course after 20 years?

I don’t think it’s the latter, I think this is a temporary glitch. And I have a way that you can help me get past this.

Leave a comment and ask me anything and I will answer it in a future post. I’m pretty much an open book and I can’t really think of anything you might ask that I wouldn’t be able to answer but I do reserve the right to skip any questions that feel weird or icky or too personal.

So. Go ahead. Ask me anything!

  1. I might have to remember this the next time I don’t have anything to say (which happens alarmingly often)! If you had to choose your top three books of all time, what would they be?

  2. If you couldn’t live in your beautiful little town, where, in the whole wide world, would you like to give it a go??

  3. Hmm, that’s a tough one, Carole! Here are some suggestions, made very early in the AM before I am really awake. Top 3 easy dinners, top 3 knitted projects, most important self-care routines, most influential events in your life. I am happy to read whatever you have to say!

  4. What is at the top of your bucket list? For me, it is too visit the village in Italy that my birth family came from. What do you not know how to do that you’d like to learn? Soooo many things! First thing I’m tackling is crochet … it seems to be going pretty well!

  5. I like Bonny’s request for your top 3 books of all time (which would be so, so difficult for me to answer). And, maybe, top 3 movies of all time (easier for me)?

  6. Your brilliant commenters have left some wonderful questions! I love all of them!

My question for you is this… what is the book you have most recommended?!

  7. I highly doubt your blog has run its course. My money’s on all the bad news — it really has a numbing effect. My question for you: If time and money were no object and you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

  8. What advice would Today Carole give Younger Carole about

    a) love and loss
    b) having a career
    c) having a family
    d being a friend
    e) being a citizen

How you approach the topic is wide open, no assumptions made.

  9. Have you ever been to The Library of Congress and if so how was that adventure? If not…any great libraries on your bucket list to visit?(I went to the NYC library last summer…amazing!)
