We kicked off summer in our town last night with the annual Dale and the…
Weekend Glimmers, June 6th – 8th, 2025

I started off strong, taking a picture of my coffee on the deck on Friday morning. It was the first morning this season that I’ve been (a) not working and it’s been (b) warm enough and not raining for me to take advantage of this ritual. It was lovely and I enjoyed the birds and critters in the yard, the container gardens on my deck, and the peacefulness of the whole situation.
And I didn’t take another photo all weekend long.*
No photos of planting my window boxes.
No photos of Jackie’s soccer game.
No photos of my new haircut. I chopped off about 4 inches!
No photos of cocktail hour with Dale.
No photos of a wonderful hang out with my friend Diane who now lives in Florida. It’s amazing how we can pick up and chat and laugh as if we had been together just last week and not several years ago.
I suppose no photos means I’m in the moment and living my life. But at the same time I’d like to be better at documenting this life, too. There’s always next weekend, right?
*I did create a few videos for TikTok and if you’re on the app (it’s my favorite social media hang out, truly) I’d love for you to give me a follow. You can find me here.
Sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! (I got my hair cut as well!!)
I am definitely Team Enjoy The Moment. Pictures are awesome, especially yours, but being fully immersed in the moment is to live fully sometimes.
Only one photo means a great weekend! I’ll look forward to seeing your new haircut tomorrow night.
No photos = too busy enjoying your weekend. Love your mug – really cute and I can’t wait to see your hair…I really need to chop off a lot of mine.
Clearly you were having too much fun to take photos (but I would like to see the haircut!). Enjoying coffee outside is a great way to kick off the weekend. Love that mug, too!
I’m finding that I take fewer photos all the time now-days, so I get it! Glad you had a full and busy weekend — and that you were able to kick things off with that cheering coffee mug! XO
