Back for another week of knitting and reading with Kat and friends.

There’s been progress on Hannah’s Waffle Pullover. I have put the sleeves onto waste yarn and am now working solely on the body. It sure goes faster with this number of stitches but I still have a long way to go. Luckily, I continue to be engaged with the pattern. It’s interesting enough to keep me entertained but simple enough that I can knit while watching television or taking a road trip to buy a new camper.

As for reading, yesterday I finished Kin by Tayari Jones. I will do a full review when I do my February reading wrap up but for now I will tell you that this is a fantastic book and it will be published next week so get your name on the holds list at your library now.

What are you making and reading this week?

  1. Fabulous Waffle Carole! I’ve been reading good things about “Kin” and I’m off to get on the wait list at my library.

  2. I can just picture you knitting your Waffle Pullovers in your luxe new camper! Maybe you have plans for a winter camping test? I’ve also put Kin on hold; thanks!

  3. Hannah’s sweater is looking great, Carole! I love the pattern, too. It’s a fun and engaging knit — and I’m looking forward to slightly shorter rounds . . . once I divide for the sleeves (I think I’ll get to that point later this week if I stay focused). And I read Kin earlier this winter as an ARC and really liked it, too!
