Slump

What’s a blogger to do when she’s in a slump? Why, it’s at simple as 1, 2, 3.

1. Hold a contest. Don’t forget to comment! This would be a great opportunity for de-lurking, too. I’m just saying.
And look what came in the mail at work yesterday!

It would seem that I’m not the only one thinking about dream interpretation this week.

2. Show you pretty pictures of flowers from her garden.

Oooooooh.

Aaaaaaah.

3. And answer a long-forgotten Edward Gorey Death tag.
Go easy on that.
You will drink too much gin. Not the worst way to die, but you won’t remember too much of your life.
Hey, at least you made some people laugh!
What horrible Edward Gorey Death will you die?
brought to you by Quizilla

Okay, so this would be totally fitting if it was vodka and not gin. But, point taken.

  1. I’m a vodka gal too.

And I’ve been having the week of weird dreams over here! I should pick up that mag for some insight.

  2. I got Fanny, sucked dry by a leech. Ewww. Then I tried to game the quiz to get Neville (I love Neville) but could only manage George smothered under a rug.

Your flowers are lovely. It’s not such an inspirational week, weather-wise, is it? Come to think of it, though, it’s perfect for dark humor.

May inspiration strike you without hurting you too much.

  3. So I’m not the only in a slump? It always happens at this time of year for me. Maybe we should start a self help society for knitters in a slump.

  4. I adore the Ghashlycrumb Tinies. I used to have a framed poster of the whole series up in my apartment before I got married. Now, I’m just waiting for the Bean to grow up a bit before I haul it out again. By the way, I came out as Zillah as well. Another link in the separated at birth/evil twin theory.

This morning I dreamt it was time to go to bed. Siggy says I need more sleep.

  5. You have bloomimg daylilies already?? Wow. All I have is leaves, but no scapes yet. What variety is that by the way?

  6. It seems like all knitters go through a slump at one time or another. Good thing is they always seems to pass eventually, as will yours. I have had many over the years and look at them as time to catch up with other things that I use to enjoy before I discovered knitting and spinning. 🙂

  7. I’m sorry you’re slumping Carole and I love your knitting but I must admit I enjoy these fluffy “I got nuttin'” posts too 🙂

  8. Gin tastes like trees. Yuck. Vodka for me, although I prefer mine in Bloody Marys.

Lovely flower pictures! Did you take those yourself?

  9. I truly hope your slump passes quickly; I was there a few weeks ago, to be followed by a narrower focus, but renewed creative energy, so hang in there, grrl.

  10. It’s a governmental plot! They’ve put something in the water to make all the knitters slump at the same time!

    Just saying!

  11. I’d agree about the vodka if it were warmer. There’s nothing like a vodka tonic sipped while sitting on the front porch watching the world go by.

Couldn’t connect to the quiz at the moment … will try again later.

  12. Pretty flowers. Hmm, I think I was George smothered under a rug when I did it before. Gin sounds better – and I don’t even like gin. 🙂

  13. your flowers are beautiful 😀
I had completely forgotten about Edward gorrey until you posted that cartoon 😀

  14. Your daylily photos are giving me hope that mine will bloom soon too!

I also will die of drinking too much gin (although I never touch the stuff — tequila for me please)

  15. I LOVE Edward Gorey! I’ve had the A-Z poster since I was in high school, some (mumble, mumble) 20+ years ago!

Sounds like NH was fun, but really, really wet!
