Remember these?
The long-suffering, never-ending, knit on size 0, Final Four socks? I started these on April 2nd. Pathetic, I tell ya. Of course, I’ve finished two other pairs of socks since starting these, but still, I’m sick of them and determined to finish.
Here’s my motivation for finishing.
Mmmm. Trekking XXL. For the Trek Along With Me knit along, of course. I already had all four of these skanks in the stash, just so you know. You thought I just collected Vesper? Nope. Trekking, too. And maybe some Opal. Oh, and let’s not forget the Socks That Rock. But I digress. I must decide which skank of Trekking to knit first. Any favorites? I’m looking for guidance, dear reader.

Oh, one last thing… My Iris are in bloom.

Julie Said,
My favorite trekking is the orangey reds one though perhaps that’s because it seems similar to the flames I’m working on now. Love your Iris! Mine are in a chilly spot and haven’t even got buds yet.
Chris Said,
For the first Trekking Along, I’d go with the green and red and yellow and other forest in bloom colored skank.
Beautiful iris!
Lolly Said,
Hey Carole! I really like the red/orange/purple Trekking – I don’t think I have seen that one knit up. The gray one would be perfect for Project Spectrum neutrals month (August)
Lovely iris! The ones I have seen around here are on their last leg…
Lucia Said,
Beautiful iris. I like the one on the upper right. The upper left one is intriguing too. The bottom two… I’m just not a lime-green grrl, and the gray? Save it for winter.
Kelly Said,
My favorite is the one on the the top right. I just ordered my first skein of trekking and I can’t wait until it arrives. I love all your flower pictures!
Cheryl Said,
I like the bottom right, that’s my vote!
Enjay Said,
While personally I prefer trekking 100 (i think that’s the one on the upper right) the flowers in your picture make me think that the yellow and purple trekking is the appropriate one for you right now.
Jan Said,
I’m partial to the Trekking 100, but having seen lots of socks from that colorway, I think I’d vote for the grays. I’ve never seen that one knitted up. Looks yummy.
PumpkinMama Said,
I’m voting the yellow – nobody knits enough yellow.
margene Said,
Hey~ It’s the process, like..you know?
The red Trekking is fabulous but the weird yellowy one is very different. Use it!
ann Said,
that looks like some great motivation – my vote is for the red in the upper left corner!
susan Said,
I vote for the yellow.
Judy Said,
how about #4..
Laurie Said,
Bottom left corner skank.
Exquisite iris! You should make excuses to get out in the yard to walk around that one often.
Rachel H Said,
My vote’s for the yellowygreeny one on the bottom right. I’ve never seen that one.
Jess Said,
Top Right – but I’m a ‘Fall’ kinda girl ;o)
No iris for me yet – but I do have a lone tree peony blossom
))
hillary Said,
I like the reddish one on the top left and the yellowy one on the bottom right. They’re both really nice and not ones that I see a lot.
I love your iris too. Mine already bloomed and I miss them. Thanks for sharing yours.
Leah Said,
First choice: Top left!
Second choice: Bottom left!
Manise Said,
I vote bottom right- the limey-greeny one. It’ll be a real eye opener!
Pretty “long-suffering” socks btw
Miss Tonia Said,
I vote for the one on the top left. I also like the one on the bottom right.
jillian Said,
Size 0?? No thank you. That’s quite a feat! The pattern is really cute!
I like the Trekking in the upper right – but I’m partial to the “fuzzy” colorways.
Beautiful flower!
--Deb Said,
Obviously, I like the bottom left since it’s so similar (same?) as the one I’m knitting, but . . . I like that yellow-green one at the bottom right, too. Then again, the multi-color at the top right is lovely . . .
Oh heck, knit them all! (Stripes, maybe??) (grin)
amanda Said,
Top right Trekking. And the iris is lovely!
christine Said,
My vote: The neon green in the lower right hand corner……………..yummy!
And thanks for the Iris picture……….lovely!
Kathleen Said,
lower left…iris are my absolute favorite.
Susan Said,
I love the iris. My grandmother had a bed of irises that her mother had planted and I loved to see them bloom. What a beautiful picture.
maryse Said,
top right — first choice. top left — second choice. bottom right — third choice. bottom left — give it away
maryse Said,
those long suffering socks are pretty though.
Anne Said,
Top right please.
Chris Said,
Lower right corner or upper left corner. An awful lot of people are knitting Trekking 100. Which, I must admit, is my favorite…
Beth S. Said,
Yellow! I’ve never seen that one before. It gets my vote for sheer novelty.
jenifleur Said,
Lower left! I think I have a skank of that somewhere, too. That must mean I’m biased.
Imbrium Said,
Oooh…I like the grey on the lower left.
Ruth Said,
I vote for the yummy orangy/red yarn in the upper left hand corner. But it’s all good.
Angelia Said,
The Trekking in the top right of the picture looks interesting.
Your Iris is beautiful! Wow. Make mine look so plain.
Dave Daniels Said,
Those are some NICE yarns. I can’t use hte US#0, I keep snapping or bending the #3s. I can’t imagine trying to use them, I’d never get beyond the ribbing. The almost-done pair look really great, can’t you imagine wearing them SOON?
Sheryl Said,
My Iris’ are blooming too. I vote for the top right yarn in the pic. Ohhhhh pretty.
liz Said,
Bottom right, baby!
Joanne Said,
I like the top left – kind of funky. And the Final Four socks… well, 2.5 months (since March Madness?) isn’t SO bad for an unfinished project? They’re cute!
Karen Said,
I like the yellow. I haven’t seen that one before. It’s neato!
Lynette Said,
Stunning iris. Don’t ‘cha just love spring?
Snow Said,
Beautiful socks, beatiful iris. I like it here. Can I stay? Will you feed me and adopt me and everything?
Emily Said,
Your dyed yarn looks SO good. Yeah, I know that was what, three posts ago? But it really does. And I had no idea that Trekking came in so many colors!
Debi Said,
Lower right, limey yellow!! Screams spring! Can’t wait to see it knit up!! (I have at least 6 skeins in stash just sayin’)
Terri Said,
I vote for the bottom right yarn. That lime color just stands up and demands to be admired!
Annie Said,
I’d go with the yellow for right now. It is the color of Spring and sunshine!
Kathy Said,
So that’s where all the Trekking is!
. I like the one on the lower left.
hpny knits Said,
I love the “lime!” I have never seen that one before. I had my own
Trekking dilemma…
http://hpnyknits.blogspot.com/2006/05/its-been-busy-here-in-nyc.html
it will be so much fun!!!
can’t wait to see your choice.
trek Said,
Go with the bumble bee.
Teyani Said,
definately yellow – it’s summer!
and hey- your iris look just like mine! (only mine just finished their bloomin’.)
Hannah Said,
My favorite is the green and yellow one, but you are currently telling me you really like the one on the top right, which was my other choice!
Susan Said,
Carole,
I LOVE my yarn and the knitpicks yarn. The hand balm will really come in handy, too. Heh no pun intended.
The colors are gorgeous and I can’t wait to see how it knits up! Thank you very much.
Susan (the gummy bears are in the fridge, it was hot outside today!)
Siri Said,
I’d love to see what that one in the top left corner knits up like. AND where you go hiking with it.
