Last Tuesday I packed up my Kitchen Aid mixer, lots of flour, sugar, and butter, and I headed to Cape Cod to bake Christmas cookies with Doreen. To say we had fun would be, well, the understatement of the season. Look, I can show you:
A day in the kitchen with Doreen is about as fun as cookie baking can get. She’s got lots of space and every kitchen gadget in the world and we mixed and rolled and baked loads of cookies to share with family and friends. We also laughed and laughed.
And, you know, had some wine. Because we’re good at multitasking like that.
Baking is almost always more fun with company in the kichen, and it looks like you two surely do know how to have fun!
Now that’s the way to bake cookies! XO
PS – I love the aprons.
This is my kind of baking day! And, SNOW on the BLOG!! XOXO
What fun and great aprons!!
You two look like excellent partners in crime! 🙂
Awesome aprons! 😉
Best time baking imaginable. Love the aprons and the fact that wine was involved!
P.S. Congratulations to your Pats. They opened a can of whoop ass on my Broncs.
Christmas baking with a friend would be an easy way to get into the spirit of the season!!
So much fun!! It’s so much more fun to do it together! I miss the baking shenanigans with my sisters this year, but I’m sure we’ll do it again sometime.
Cheers to Day Drinking, aprons with a message … and actual food you can EAT when you’re done! I’m intrigued about trying a Baking Day next year and I’m looking for tips! Do y’all plan out what you’ll be making to coordinate ingredients/prep space/oven time?

I’m so inspired by this, sounds like so much fun. This is what the holidays are all about-finding the joy in something so simple.
