Think Write Thursday

The Think Write Thursday topic for March 30, 2017 is to write a post called, “Hello, April.

Well. Hello, April.

I’ve had some issues with you over the years, not the least of which has been the anniversaries of the deaths of both of my brothers. However. In recent memory you have meant vacations and beaches and good times with Dale. And I’ve learned to focus more on those good things and less on those bad things from so many years ago. April, you also bring other good things like Easter and warm(ish) weather and flowers. You are most definitely a time of renewal and growth, a time for getting outdoors and walking around, surveying the things that have changed over the past few months, and making plans for planting and parties and outdoor fun in the months ahead.

All of this is a long way of saying, I’m glad to see you, April. Let’s make your stay here a good one!

In other news . . . what did you do at work yesterday? Because this happened where I work.

  1. Wow! That was quite an attention-getter! Here’s hoping that it is also the end of such a dramatic event.

  2. Oh, April. I love how you are focusing on the positive. And, yikes…when I first saw that photo yesterday, I wondered if they had a late library book… or maybe they heard new LipSense colors were in! XOXO

  3. I’m glad April has provided some good things to look forward to (but I don’t like the snow on those crocus)! Definitely not the usual Wednesday at work.

  4. April is the beginning of warm breezes, open windows, blossoms everywhere, and time in the garden. April, I love you!!

  5. I saw the event last night on the news – yikes! I’m glad no one was hurt. I’m happy to see April at the door but I hear snow is on the way! Not happy at all.

  6. What a lovely photo… ah, I can’t wait for flowers in the yard (Rusty said he saw tulip buds)!

Wow. I know how scary that is! I was at work once when a pickup truck actually crashed right through the wall and thank goodness no one was in that room at the time. The truck was more than half-way inside the building. It was the most horrible noise I’ve ever heard — metal, wood, glass. Thankfully, the driver was fine (shook up!). He’d swerved to avoid a vehicle that blew through a stop sign and ricocheted off the curb across the street, right into/through our building!

  7. My questions are these: 1) Is your office right above where it hit? and, 2) Were you in it? That was quite a shock if you were! Lovely thoughts about April. I have a love/hate relationship with April. It is such a people tease!

  8. I a man a few days late, March had one last crisis for me. I am happy to be into a new month. Hope it goes well for you. Thanks for the prompts.

  9. I love that April brings with it lots of lovely flowers. Car crashing through house-not unlike our road collapsing the other day! Keeps things interesting at least.

  10. (playing catchup – I wouldn’t let myself read your April posts until I’d written my own … so yeah, it’s Sunday 🙂 My fun wish for you is that the month lives up to all your expectations … and I expect to see FriYAY on the deck before May arrives! Thank you for hosting this warm, weekly gathering!
