This gorgeous yellow dahlia is called La Luna. It's what is called a dinnerplate variety…
Eye Candy Friday
Dale says I’m getting a good “eye” for photos but if I try and look for things to photograph I come up empty. I’m learning to wait patiently for my Muse. I took this photo when we were in Boston last weekend and we walked from the JFK to Fanueil Hall. Hello, Muse.

I look forward to your eye candy photos. Brr. The water looks so cold.
Brrr….the water DOES look cold. I haven’t been to Fanueil Hall in such a long time. Such a fun place to visit…I’m glad you were able to go. 🙂
Very cool. I know what you mean. Sure can’t force that photographic muse…
Very nice…you do have a good muse.
Another great Eye Candy shot!
I know what you mean! The most challenging part of leading a creative life is waiting for the Muse to show up.
How cool…have a great weekend!!
That’s a great Eye Candy photo. I know just what you mean. My friends and family have said that my pictures are getting better. I find that I just take the pictures when I see something that catches my eye and worry about how to use it later. The muse can’t be forced.
Makes me yearn for a visit to the coast! Thanks, and have a great weekend.
having the blog has certainly upped everyone’s photographic skills – your pic looks great!
That Muse is a fickle critter, isn’t she, so undependable, yet so brilliant we always forgive her.
Very interesting and cool photo…yep…your muse was there on that one…
oo! nifty shot!
And thanks for coming out – sucky though they were, it was still fun to see the C’s with you guys.
Nice!
aaaahhhh ocean…
Great shot! You are correct: can’t rush it.
Great photo Carole! I would love to have a coffee table book full of the Eye Candy Friday photos that people have posted.
That’s a pretty cool picture-very New England in an unexpected way!
Nice!
brrrrr! Looks cold!
Love the pic.
Now that’s a great photo! I love shots which catch both nature and man’s structures.
=:8
Looks cold to me! But interesting. I can almost smell it.
what a fabulous photo – ahhh, nice memories of Fanueil hall 🙂
I’ve thought for a long time that photography was a real art for you. I point my camera to record things visually, but as long as I’ve read your blog, you’ve had photographs that transcended visual records. Sometimes, you’ve been able to express something about knitting or crafts that I recognize and that resonates with my own feelings. At others, you have captured something breathtaking in the natural world. It is one thing to enjoy a sunset, a new blossom, or a frozen branch, and another entirely to sum up what these things mean in our lives. I’ve thought for sometime now that you are able to take photographs with this kind of meaning. I hope you keep at it.
