Eye Candy Friday

boston_dock.jpg

Dale says I’m getting a good “eye” for photos but if I try and look for things to photograph I come up empty. I’m learning to wait patiently for my Muse. I took this photo when we were in Boston last weekend and we walked from the JFK to Fanueil Hall. Hello, Muse.

  1. Brrr….the water DOES look cold. I haven’t been to Fanueil Hall in such a long time. Such a fun place to visit…I’m glad you were able to go. 🙂

  2. I know what you mean! The most challenging part of leading a creative life is waiting for the Muse to show up.

  3. That’s a great Eye Candy photo. I know just what you mean. My friends and family have said that my pictures are getting better. I find that I just take the pictures when I see something that catches my eye and worry about how to use it later. The muse can’t be forced.

  4. Great photo Carole! I would love to have a coffee table book full of the Eye Candy Friday photos that people have posted.

  5. I’ve thought for a long time that photography was a real art for you. I point my camera to record things visually, but as long as I’ve read your blog, you’ve had photographs that transcended visual records. Sometimes, you’ve been able to express something about knitting or crafts that I recognize and that resonates with my own feelings. At others, you have captured something breathtaking in the natural world. It is one thing to enjoy a sunset, a new blossom, or a frozen branch, and another entirely to sum up what these things mean in our lives. I’ve thought for sometime now that you are able to take photographs with this kind of meaning. I hope you keep at it.
