Tulips were on sale last week and I picked up this pretty bunch of pink…
Eye Candy Friday
Look what I found in the garden last Sunday! The first crocus of the year. What a wonderful spot of yellow in a bed of brown mulch. Of course, by the end of today it’s going to be buried under snow. I love New England.

Very lovely. We don’t have any crocus yet but my tulips are up about 2 inches. Hopefully the snow will melt quickly and we’ll get our spring a little early like the groundhog predicted.
It’s definitely the calm before the storm out here. Happy Friday!
Beautiful touch of yellow.
True, snow today, rain tomorrow. Ahhhh, one of the mysteries that is New England.
What a nice promise of spring!
What a lovely little piece of Sunshine to find.
Our crocus could just as easily be buried under snow. Sadly we’re loosing our snow early! Crocus are amazing little flowers. You’ll see even more after the thaw.
Wow, spring comes early down where you are! Here in the north country, we’ve got nothing yet.
What a beautiful photo! We have nothing up yet, which is just as well.
There’s nothing quite like it, is there? That first little bloom in spring. Pure happiness. (Lucky YOU!)
; )
Isn’t it wonderful when you spot that first little sign of spring? Even if it get’s covered up, you know Spring is just around the corner 🙂
Aaaah! Thanks, Carole.
“I love New England.” Uh huh. Tell me that tomorrow. 😀
Very nice picture. I have one small patch of crocuses too. They are a nice start to spring.
I should look out in the garden for the snowdrops before it starts snowing…I love this time of year when the flowers are just starting to come alive again :o)
Beautiful!
OOOOOOO, joy!
What a lovely surprise before the snow returned to you.
Things are starting to pop up all over NM now too…except we’re definitely not expecting any more snow 😉
Wow, something growing…. We aren’t quite there yet…
Well there’s a reason to smile!! There’s nothing better than seeing the hope that spring is on its way! Have a great weekend.
Aww. Sorry your little croaky will be disappearing. It’s a sucky time of year to deal with the “almost spring fake-out” and go back to snow. It seems that we’re past the snow in Kansas now and everything is popping up and looking pretty but…. you never know! 🙂
Have a great weekend Carole!
What a beautiful crocus. Hey, I hear that JenLa posted new eye candy friday buttons, you should go get one! 😉
woo-hoo! growing plant life! still brown at my house. and probably white by now.
Gor-Geous! 🙂
And covered in snow.
xoxo
Hope you aren’t too hard hit by storms; I always expect the daffodils to end up with a coating of snow, but it IS still spring… finally!
Took awhile to get home last night. The shoots of the snowdrops are BURIED. I would envy your crocus, except that you don’t have it anymore either. At least not til the snow melts. I WAS going to go to the flower show today. NFW.
wow, what a difference a few miles makes – we have the very tips of daffodils coming up, now buried under snow of course. No crocuses. None. Harrumph.
So pretty! Hopefully the hardy little crocus will still be perky once this snow melts!
No sightings of any flowers in my neck of the woods 🙁
Thanks for sharing nature’s beauty, Carole.
Pretty! My crocuses came up in January this year. Isn’t climate weird?
Ooooh, that’s a lovely crocus. I don’t think I’ve seen yellow with purple stripes before.
