Bee Fields Shawl

So the other day I was preparing my first day of the year post. You know, the one where I review everything I’ve knit all year and set goals for the coming year. Guess what I realized? I never showed you any photos of the finished Bee Fields Shawl. I can’t even believe that. It’s the most gorgeous, most complex, most time consuming thing I knit all year and I never showed you. Until now.

I’ve discovered a problem with my new camera, though. All the pictures come out so wonderful I have a hard time deciding which ones to post. I hope you don’t mind.

  1. I love the shawl and the color. And having a problem with taking wonderful photos is such a horrid problem. But I am sure that you can live with it.

  2. Lol, such a problem! Actually, multiple images are very welcome.

BTW, I’m totally jealous of your Boston French Toast Alert System.

    Happy New Year!

  3. Your shawl is gorgeous and Hannah looks terrific wearing it. Happy New Year to you and your family Carole.

  4. Hannah is always so beautiful and makes for a great model. But of course, you do too. Bee Fields is just gorgeous and the color is fantastic. That’s so funny that you forgot to mention it. Congrats on a most successful knit. Happy New Year to your family!

  5. That is one fine-looking shawl. I’m ashamed to say I own the yarn and the pattern, but haven’t begun it. I have knit a lot of lace; somehow, the way this one was presented seemed daunting. I’m sure I could probably knit it, yet I haven’t. Sigh.

  6. just incredible…. the shawl is so wonderful – and lots of applause goes to you for it’s completion.
    Joyous New Year to you!!

  7. Ah yes, a gorgeous FO and a top-notch camera are a good recipe for very difficult decisions when it comes to selecting the best blog photos.

(I say that as though I often have gorgeous FOs, which sounds a little egotistical. I didn’t mean it that way.)

The shawl is stunning, of course — and what fun to realize you have something so great with which to close out the year?

    Happy New Year!

  8. Happy New Year!

The shawl is gorgeous, how ever in the world did you forget to post that one? Glad you remembered!

  9. I feel privileged to have seen it at Rhinebeck. It’s fabulous! And picture overload is always encouraged when the FO is so stunning. 😉
