Eye Candy Friday

heirloom_tomato_salad.jpg

The other day when Mary brought me that herb bouquet she also brought me some fresh basil from her garden. I took some fresh mozzarella and an heirloom tomato and made a delicious caprese salad. Yummy and beautiful, too!

Eat something delicious this weekend!

  1. Oh that looks delicious!! The napkins you made are beautiful. I’d have trouble using them too:)

  2. Very pretty. Plan to eat at Spoonbills where Edie always spoils us with good food.

  3. pretty as a picture 🙂 And I bet that it was gobbled up within moments. It sure looks good from here.

  4. Yum! Your photo is very inspiring. Just this morning I was thinking that I needed to get some basil from my garden to go with the tomatoes. Now I definitely have to!

  5. Oh my, I never saw a caprese with yellow tomatoes before! It’s so pretty. Bet it didn’t last long. 😉

  6. OK, when I first looked at that picture, I saw goat cheese tacos….but caprese sounds SO much yummier!

  7. Mmm, I do love a caprese salad! I didn’t have one this weekend, but I DID bake (and eat some of) a Coca-Cola cake!
