This gorgeous yellow dahlia is called La Luna. It's what is called a dinnerplate variety…
Eye Candy Friday
The beach was chilly last week when Dale and I visited Cape Cod. It will be glorious there this weekend with an expected high of 82° on Saturday. Too bad I’ll be spending the weekend in the 19th century. Timing is everything, that’s for sure, because you know I’d rather be at the beach!

frank harlow day!! already? i hope it’s not too warm for you.
It’s a beautiful beach!
Oh, that looks so good. I will be at various Little League games this weekend, maybe can squeeze in a seaside visit. Enjoy your weekend too.
Beautiful view even if it was chilly. Have a great weekend.
I’m not a beach person but that looks so inviting!
Oh – but you can go back anytime! And I can visit in my mind.
Love the beach, too. I hope you have a great time at Frank Harlow Day!!
Beautiful! It looks like a painting.
The ocean has a way of looking gorgeous in all times and weathers. I wonder if it gives lessons.
I’ll probably be spending tomorrow at CTSW.
Beautiful – great colors too!
You going for period-correct or will there be shorts under those hoops? ;op
and…brrrrr but beautiful!
You know, they had beaches in the 19th century, too…
Love the photo! Have fun re-enacting.
I hope that you have a lovely weekend – and that you find a shady spot to hang out under a tent, and spin 😉
love your beach photo
I can think of nothing more relaxing than a water view…
I bet the 19th century will be more enjoyable with great weather than, say, rain and cold? Have a great weekend!
That’s a great picture. It really makes me miss the beach.
Love that picture! I’ve been to CC only once and it’s easily one of my favorite places – great walking beaches!
It is going to be shockingly warm here this weekend as well. I may be tempted to just go lay out in my backyard 😉
That’s what I call eye candy!!!!
That’s a lovely little “escape” photo – I just too a mini-vacation, thanks!

Very pretty beach! Hope you have fun at the Frank Harlow Day!
Nice photo! I wish I could visit your event.
So beautiful!
I hope the weekend is going well.
I love the composition of your photo – I can smell the sea air! Hope you had a great weekend & found a way to stay cool in your re-enactment garb.
