Eye Candy Friday

lisianthus

Lisianthus from our CSA share last week.  I offer them up today in memory of Senator Edward Kennedy.

I think it’s fitting to use the words the Senator spoke at his brother Robert’ s funeral in 1968 as a tribute to his own passing.

Those of us who loved him and who take him to his rest today, pray that what he was to us and what he wished for others will some day come to pass for all the world.

Rest in peace, Teddy.

  1. You always have such ‘tasty’ eye candy! And love him or not, I think the world would be a better place if more people cared as passionately as Sen. Kennedy, and then tried to follow through as he did. RIP

  2. Thank you for writing that, Carole. I went to watch the funeral motorcade yesterday when it was downtown, and I’m glad I did. I appreciate all that he did so much.

  3. What a beautiful and fitting tribute… did you end up going to Boston to pay your respects in person? It is truly a great loss, and I was deeply sorry he couldn’t live long enough to see health care reform pass this year.
