A Meme for a Monday
On Mondays I usually talk about what I did all weekend. And, while I did some fun stuff, I don’t have anything really blogworthy to talk about. So I found this 20 questions meme thing and I’m doing that today. I encourage anyone interested to copy/paste and play along!
20 Questions
1. Explain what ended your last relationship?
My last relationship was my ex-husband and he cheated. That pretty much ended things.
2. When was the last time you shaved?
Saturday morning because I was going to get a pedicure and didn’t want the nail tech to freak out.
3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.
I’m answering these on Sunday night so this morning at 8 am I was sleeping.
4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago?
Again, Sunday night, so 15 minutes ago I was drinking a Guinness in an Irish pub.
5. Some things you are excited about?
A new job opportunity. I don’t want to talk about it much yet but I’ll tell you all about it if it works out.
6. What is your favorite flavor of JELL-O?
Red. I guess that’s a color and not a flavor, though.
7. Your prom night, what do you remember about it?
I remember that my favorite song came on and I wanted to dance and my date was in the bathroom. Good times.
8. Do you have any famous ancestors?
Maybe. I’ve been doing some ancestry research lately and it’s really cool.
9. Last thing received in the mail?
The spinning wheel cart set up for my Schacht Matchless. Dale set it up for me today and I think this is going to be just the thing for making my Matchless much more portable.
10. How many different beverages have you had today?
3. Coffee, water, Guinness.
11. Do you ever leave messages on people’s answering machine?
Yes, of course.
12. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach?
No. I sat on my ass and I knit when I go to the beach.
13. Any plans for Friday night?
Friday night is date night and usually involves a nice dinner and hanging out at home. It’s my favorite night of the week, actually.
14. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?
Hell no. This is probably why I don’t go in the water.
15. Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorns?
Yes, we get them at work every Christmas. They are pretty gross. Someone always eat it, though.
16. Do you re-use towels after you shower?
Yes. I’m not a fan of daily laundry.
17. Describe your keychain(s)?
It’s a yarn ball made of silver.
18. Where do you keep your change?
In my change purse. Where else would I keep my change?
19. When was the last time you spoke in front of a large group of people?
I went to a meeting last week with about 9 people, is that large? I speak at Kiwanis on a regular basis and that’s definitely large. I’m not intimidated by speaking in front of large groups of people.
20. What kind of winter coat do you own?
I have several. My most favorite is grey/black wool plaid. It’s more of a blazer than a coat but it does the trick.
So, were you bored? Was it fun reading my answers? Hmmmm?

I’d have to agree on the ‘red’ part of jello. They pretty much taste the same to me. Good luck on that job opportunity. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Fun! Now I have something to post…
Good luck with the job!!
It’s fun to read about a person. Some of the questions are a little too personal for me to answer. Good luck with the job…go Carole!!
Yes,it was fun! Glad you got the Schacht wheels. LOVE em.
Ahem, Friday was blogworthy!!! 😉
Great meme — I may do it — loved reading your answers.
I’m with Margene. I don’t reveal to anyone whether I’ve had one of those triple big tins of stale popcorn.
😉
what’s up with that question? Is it a euphemism that I am missing?
Hmmm, still curious thanks to Kathy’s post above….Friday night??
Good luck with changes at work!
Lots of fun to read! I’m still giggling about the red jello.
I really liked reading your answers. You are way more organized than I am. My change gets tossed to the bottom of my purse and when my purse gets too heavy I clean it all out. The good thing about this process is that I then put the change in a bottle to save up to use for yarn. 🙂
Looks like you were pretty fiesty when you filled this out last night! Loved #12!
I wasn’t going to do it, but I can’t resist. Some of your answers made me laugh, particularly the answering machine one.
Very interesting! That #1 will be a killer for me. The memory ain’t what it used to be, don’t you know.
Oh, these are fun questions! My winter coat…yikes! I have a long London Fog coat that is my “dress” coat – got it for next to nothing on a clearance rack…then my “Michelen Man” car coat which will repel gale force winds (only wear it when it’s seriously cold!). Mostly, I wear these cool little fleece jackets I got from Target – they were only about $15 each, I got one in almost every color they made, and they’re quite warm for typical winter weather.
I just may do this at lunch time if I have the chance! I agree with answer #16. I stretch the life of a bath towel as long as possible without being too gross!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you with #5.
Great meme, I may use it one day this week. I smiled at the one about the change because I’m sure I’m not the only one with a few pounds of change at the bottom of my handbag. Good luck with the job. I can’t wait to hear about it.
Meh, apparently I can’t use the symbols for a heart …
I don’t care what you write about, I always find it worthy of reading! Good luck with the new opportunity, can’t wait to hear about it 🙂 You really should write your name in the sand … something along the lines of ‘Carole hearts knitting’ hehe
Enjoyed learning a bit about you. I am a red jello fan myself. My husband likes the green…and he calls it green jello, never lime.
yes fun to read, but way to personal on some of them (at least for blog consumption)
love the alstromeria photo
Jello makes pudding, too! When I was pregnant with DD the only thing I could keep down for the first trimester was Jello brand butterscotch pudding. Still like the stuff.
Beaches. No name drawing but definitely sand castles and casting candles in the wet sand.
I’m married to my prom date. Life is good.
Glad you were able to escape #1 and spend your life with Dale.
A Texan friend sends tins of pecans — way better than weird popcorn!
Fingers crossed!
Oh, and change lives in a turtle bowl. ;^)
xo
I will keep my fingers crossed – and wait to hear! I may be borrowing this!!!
Great answers! How did I not know that we have the same keychain?
I have always wanted to be the sort of woman who owned several winter coats. I spend so much time wearing them. Good on ya.
