A portion of the mantel decorations in my living room. Are you all decorated for the holidays?

Have a great weekend!

  1. No!! I’m way behind. I’ve been volunteering at the Wadsworth Atheneum Festival of Trees and choosing material to renovate two bathrooms. The bathroom renovation is a bit annoying as it was suppose to happen earlier and now keeps getting pushed back. I really wanted the guest bath done for Christmas at least so my CO. daughter wouldn’t be too disrupted when she arrives next Sunday.

  2. No…but I will be by the time I go to bed tonight! 🙂 Love your decorations. I wish this house had a mantle – or even room for a fake one. I’m enjoying dragging out all the old decorations I forgot we had and putting them to new use.

  3. No … but hopefully this weekend. I’m behind in every way this year (again … time to admit that it’s normal for me).

  4. I am way behind this year and can not seem to get in gear. Shopping is almost done and I am all wrapped to date but the house has only one room decorated. Tree up with weekend…hopefully. However, my Christmas knitting is finished!

  5. Your house must be so full of festive cheer! At the moment I have one Santa sitting on my table. He looks a tiny bit lonely, but that’s all I got.

  6. Today’s the day! I’m an Episcopalian, and we observe the season of Advent, a time of waiting. It’s really a matter of patience, which is a real discipline for me around Christmas time.

Putting up the tree today is a compromise. If I wait until just before Christmas, I won’t put one up for just those 12 days of Christmas. Grandson will be here Saturday with his folks, so he is my excuse.

  7. I’m a little cheered to see so many “No”s in the above comments. I’m not such a slacker afterall! Your home, I imagine, is bursting with Good Will to All!

  8. That is what’s on this evening’s agenda… DH cut a tree earlier this week at our high country place, and we re-arranged the furniture to fit it in, now time for the fun part! I do admire how you dive right in after Thanksgiving and make the most of the season:)

  9. :::::::laughing::::::::!!!!! Those are pretty decorations you have there. The only holiday decorations we have “out” are the little white lights that stay up all year in one spot inside, the row of really old ornaments that stayed up all last year, and the row of brass bells that have always stayed up all year (these things all hang between somethings). DH did put up some outside lights a few weeks back though.

  10. I am so far behind this year that I can’t believe it! I have been getting some things moved around so older son can move back home next week (with his 75 pound black lab) and that has taken all my energy…and I am not even done yet! Hopefully this weekend the tree will go up.

  11. I like the layering of decorative materials!

We’ll probably decorate Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest. My mom gave me two mini poinsettias yesterday, which are on my mantel. Now that it is well below freezing and classes are finished, I can’t wait to get festive!

  12. Oh my those candles would look just perfect on my mantle! Decorated yes – tree up – lights on – Dan requested no decorations until his return. Tomorrow! Have a great weekend Carole!
