It's hard to find pretty things to photograph this time of year, friends, and so,…
Eye Candy Friday
Last week we got this crazy squash in our CSA pick up. It’s called a Turban Squash and it’s entirely edible, supposedly. I’m thinking it’s too cool looking to eat, though, and we’re keeping it as a fall decoration.
It’s going to feel like fall in my area this weekend and I hope to make the most of it. Have a great weekend, friends!

I’m heading to Colorado this weekend where it’s suppose to be warmer! Not sure I’m ready for this cooler weather…
I think I’ve heard that squash is pretty tasty….can’t wait to get winter squashes in our stores here. the high today is barely going to be 70 degrees. I’m trying to decide which sweater to bring out! enjoy the weekend and the cooler weather!!
That’s one autumn-looking squash! Beautiful.
I like to eat squash in the fall. . . but I really like to just have it hanging around to look at! That one is a beauty. Enjoy your fall weekend, Carole.
You will never taste a sweeter squash. The flavor is lovely! Think butternut only sweeter! Cook it with butter and sage. It’s unbelievable!
Happy Friday!!!!
I just read Margene’s comment and now my tummy’s growling.
It’s already feeling like fall here — a warm-up on the way for the weekend, but autumn has definitely made herself known.
I’ve never eaten turban squash, it’s too pretty. I use it as decoration, though. It’s just so gorgeous!
How cool!
Happy Friday!
I’d eat it, but it would look awesome as a halloween pumpkin type thing, only with frog-eyes ^.^
Agree, way too cool to eat!
I love the colors of your squash! Not eating it would be an homage to fall, but why pass up a delicious opportunity for some yummy fall soup? http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/amazon_bean_soup_with_winter_squash_greens.html Happy weekend!
