WIP ‘Em Out Wednesday

I’ve been diligently plugging away on the Vivian sweater for Hannah.

The back is done and one sleeve is done. I’m so close to the finish line I can practically see it. This is good because I promised I wouldn’t start anything else until this sweater was done.

You know what they say about promises, right?

  1. be strong! (but I can understand the pull of a susannah IC shawl! you could be like me and have separate queues – with their own rules 🙂 for shawls and sweaters!!)

  2. Oh, that Vivian is for Christmas, right? 🙂 Plenty of time to start a new project. Hello! I’m an enabler!

  3. Sweaters like the Beautiful Vivian need to have a few . . . interruptions! (And that is one BEAUTIFUL Vivian. . .)

  4. Vivian will be a great sweater and it will be finished in its time. It’s always nice to have a smaller diversion to carry around and make your knitting feel lighter. Can’t wait to see what it is!

  5. If that is Hawthorne you are going to love it! I’ve got a second one to make for a gift and consider mine one of my most prized FO’s! Have fun!!! And Vivian is gorgeous!

  6. That Vivian is going to be really something! The new Yarn Harlot book has a chapter about using yarn “snacks” to prevent yarn overindulging that I think could be appropriately be used as an excuse in your situation. Vivian is a big hunk of knitting to digest, and little indulgences in the middle will do no harm.

  7. I love how your Vivian looks – all that pretty cable-y goodness!

But don’t you need something small to carry around as a portable project? It’s hard to stuff a sweater in your handbag.

  8. Oooooh! project monogamy. Something I’m working very hard to achieve! It is a beautiful sweater. Lucky Hannah!

  9. I can’t wait to see Vivian all finished! And Hawthorne is going to look SO GORGEOUS in that colorway.

  10. I love those cables. Oh to have enough brain cells to spare to focus on cables and such. I look forward to seeing what you do with the purpley yarn. Great color.
