I picked 40 more dahlias yesterday and I suspect this is the last big bunch…
Eye Candy Friday
I was so happy to come home from SPA and find that my tulips were still beautiful. And I love that they really give it up for me, right up until they shed their last petal. So lovely and springy, unlike our weather forecast for snow, snow, snow.
Have a great weekend, my friends! We’ll be hunkered down, weathering snowmageddon.

I love tulips. I don’t know if you know that if you put a few pennies in the water it makes them last longer and they won’t droop. And tulips keep growing even after cut, so you have to trim off the bottom just about every day because they keep getting taller.
I have a bunch of salmon color tulips and when I put them into water I thought of you. What a spot of sunshine they bring to a dreary winters day.
Enjoy the storm Carole…I might have to stop for some tulips on the way home!
Oooh, we in Colorado are watching in envy as snow moves into the east coast. We are confident that you are well provisioned, both food AND YARN, to hunker down for a couple of days. As a teacher, I loved snow days because, unlike other days off, I didn’t have 50’items on a “to do” list!
I WISH that we were getting some of that snow down here (D.C.). I love it. I hope you can knit, exercise (in the house) and cook something yummy.
We will be doing the same. I plan on getting lots of knitting done. And catching up on TV if the power stays with us. Enjoy the downtime!
Beautiful, Carole!
Watching your weather from California also. Stay warm and safe, and have a wonderful knitting weekend!
I think that’s my storm, but it’s picked up a LOT of power along the way. We only had a few inches, and it wasn’t as bad as they’d predicted. I can only wish the same for you! I can also tell you that the sun is on the way!!
Stay cozy! We are hunkered.
Those tulips look so bright and springy. I hope that they help you weather snowmageddon.
I love the way tulips look toward the end. hope you’ve got plenty of knitting and other things to keep you busy…the snow looks crazy!!
Yellow tulips are so cheery! We could use some color around here as well. Your forecast is too much for this former Californian. I will not be complaining about our Boise weather after reading what you’ve got! Enjoy some together time! 🙂
