Before our road trip, I cast on for a new Musselburgh hat. My grandson, Patrick…
Wednesdays Are For Knitting
As you know, I’ve been at a library conference this week. Today is the last day of the conference and I wanted to tell you one of the reasons why I love attending these events.
There is knitting time. As in, I knit during the conference sessions. Not all the time and not all sessions but it’s more knitting time than I would get if I were, say, at work.
As a visual aid, here is the sock I am currently working on at the start of the opening session on Monday morning.
And here it is this morning, before we attend our last little bits of conference.
Not bad. Not bad at all.

Yay for meetings where you can knit! That certainly makes for a good day!
So jealous!!! I like the look of that sock too!
We are visiting assorted ILs this week. Knitting during visiting keeps me mostly sane.
Lucky you and beautiful yarn – what is it???
Knitting and books (plus more time to knit) – perfect together! That yarn has a great stripe sequence!
Gorgeous sock yarn.
You must be in heaven!
carole your knitting is beautiful, I am new to sock knitting and I love your pattern. do you always use the 1.5 circular needles for an average size womans foot? love and enjoy reading your blog.
I used to get so much knitting done during conference calls (but that was before I knitted socks … I recall lots of sleeves and scarves!) are you a magic loop girl? huh, somehow I had you pegged as a DPN 😉
Absolutely perfect! LOVE those stripes!!! XO
Nice!! Fun colors, too.
Socks are the best for this type of situation. I have a meeting in June so I need to decide what to bring, between the plan, meeting and alone time in the hotel.
I used to love going to the 2-day tax conference for the exact same reason: knitting time!
I knit during meetings as well…. since they are all conference calls it helps me stay focused on the meetings instead of what is on my computer screen! LOVE LOVE LOVE the yarn you are using!!! Love me some sock yarn that has even stripes. And I have more than a few pairs of your picot-edge socks in my drawer. 🙂
